I asked him to cut a hair by separating side but he just didn’t listen and just cut everything uneven. I told him and he argued about that thing. I would not suggest anyone to go in this shop.

Sal, the owner, is very good barber, he can be a little sassy but he treated my curls with respect. But the other 2 barbers I didn’t like that much, they didn’t listen to my requests and cut my hair too short, even though I just asked for a line up. I was charged haircut price for something I didn’t ask. Very frustrating. For line up and basic stuff they do a good job. Edit: I noticed my hair was uneven after a few baths, so I take back what I said.

Boy do I wish I remembered the name of the guy who cut my hair. He was so professional and friendly. He put the true time in to give me the exact cut I wanted. This was my first time here after many failed attempts at my regular place and now this will be my place. Great haircut, great barbers at a great price. And this was my first time going with a fade and he gave me exactly what I wanted.

Starting with the good, I was able to walk in and get a cut without waiting, and overall I thought the guy did a good job on my hair and did what I requested. It's also more reasonable than other places in Boston, though at $25 for a cut, it's still not cheap. On the down-side, the place is filthy, even at 9AM when they first open. The blades aren't clean, and some of the scissors seem ancient and dirty. In spite of the good cut, I would not return given the condition of the place. I'd pay $5 more to go somewhere else in the area.

I was able to walk in. Was greeted quickly and the man cutting my hair went right to work. He did a great job putting more effort into the cut than I was expecting or needed. His attention to detail was fantastic, a true master of his craft.

Started going here right before pandemic began. Very laid back atmosphere and friendly barbers. Ill never go anywhere else. My hair always looks exactly how i want it. And pretty cheap too. 20 bucks. Other places are charging 30 buck plus.

I'm usually not psyched to try to find a decent haircut. I'm a fashion-disinterested, grad student dude with a curly jewfro if I'm not careful, and scissors don't like my hair. Ali at Sal's did an awesome job in very little time, and my hair looks a lot neater! $16.00 (cash only) for a men's cut seemed reasonable to me, and I'll go back when decency demands. The place was empty when I walked in, but there was a wait by the time Ali was done. Clean, quick, reasonably priced, and with a hot-lather straight-razor shave of my neck- Nice! UPDATE: I've gone back plenty of times since, and I appreciate all the folks who work there more and more each time. Never a bad haircut, yet! 2.75 Stars-- not perfect, but very close!
