This is the old original, the barbershop that’s been there long before barbershops became a fashion. Mike does a great job, very meticulous and careful. Cash only.
Owner's response

Convenient location to get to in Brighton. Phone call in the morning to the shop was answered promptly. Walk in and cash only. I believe Mike was the barber that did my cut. listen to my request and answered questions relating to the cut and service well, great job. Since then, I've received many compliments on the cut. Definitely recommend if your local and in the Brighton area

Getting a haircut at Lassard's is truly an experience. First off, they’re terrific. Mike goes out of his way to hire the right people and creates a professional yet neighborly atmosphere with a touch of old Boston charm. One time, he even offered to run across the street to 7/11 to grab me a drink—a small but meaningful example of how much he cares about his customers. Lassard's is a hidden gem in the Brighton neighborhood.

By way of a thank you note for decades of great service. Tonsorial Emporium He talks and clips and circles to pounce on what might have been overlooked or briefly unseen, I reply while ducking the mirror to reflect on change and the unchangeable. The big chair that can rise, swing, and incline makes friends with its footstool, Where once the artist was in medical whites, he dresses for leisure. The cordless machine whirs and the easy talk without discord plays. He is versed in all the conversational arts— The joke, sports, tactful nonpartisanship, lightly stepping around the personal. He addresses the tresses and they glide to the floor at 32 feet per second square to be swept into oblivion. Where once he was able to shave a lathered balloon without popping it, He scarcely is asked to customer shave these days. And how I’m tempted to be curried by a straight razor, To be hot toweled and aftershave with a scent, To be groomed for another uneventful day, buoyed by looking sharp and being smart As the old ad had it. I shuffle through the fallen fleece and unfold bills from the billfold, What has changed is being tonsured costs more than loose change, And yet, With the return of ears and neck to the morning August breeze, Somehow I’m looking sharp if not being smart.

More Than Just a Haircut: Lessard's - A Family Tradition For over two decades, Lessard's has been my go-to for a consistently great haircut, and it's a tradition that runs deep in my family. My dad, my grandpa, and I used to make it a regular outing, a testament to the welcoming atmosphere and quality service that owner Mike has cultivated since he started with just two chairs. Now expanded to five, the shop still retains that same comfortable, neighborhood feel. What truly sets Lessard's apart is the unwavering commitment to excellence that Mike instills in his entire team. While Mike himself is a fantastic barber, I have complete confidence in any of the barbers he hires. They all deliver the same high level of skill and attention to detail, ensuring you leave with a cut you're happy with, every single time. Beyond the consistently excellent haircuts, Lessard's also stands out for its reasonable prices. It's refreshing to find a place that values its customers and provides top-notch service without breaking the bank. More than just a place to get a trim, Lessard's is a comfortable and reliable spot. If you're looking for a barbershop that offers quality, consistency, and a welcoming environment, look no further than Lessard's!

Mike is a genuine, humble and down-to-earth guy and a great barber. Something small went wrong with my cut today that was not a big deal at all. Nonetheless Mike proactively and generously offered to make things right. I appreciate the pride he takes in his work and the care he has for his customers.
Owner's response
Thanks for the kind words J W, I appreciate your business. Enjoy your time back in Malaysia!

Mike isn't just a barber, he's an artist. I moved to the area 4 years ago and got my first haircut with Mike soon after. I would never dream of going anywhere else to get the lettuce chopped. Great experience, great people, great third place.

Thanks for the kind words Alex, I appreciate your business 👍

showed a reference photo asked him to keep the top longer and the back longer for braids i was getting later, he said he could do the photo i showed and then left me with a completely different photo, and then there is no taper to be found, overall good little shop but i recommend going somewhere else if you would like the haircut done right and not what they wanted and hack off all your hair and there’s a photo for reference of what it looked like before the cut just 100% don’t recommend
Owner's response
Cameren, I apologize for the cut you got and would like to know which barber you had so I can address the issue. My name is Mike 617-596-6333. Thank you

Working in Brighton for nearly 15 years and I just came across Lessard's recently. After driving by and seeing they were open at 6AM, decided to stop in and get my hair cut. Sat in the chair and read the sign that said $30 and thought to myself that's a little much for a buzz cut but it's 6 AM and convenience is worth it. As I'm getting ready to pay, the owner tells me, no-no, buzz cuts are $15. "You take it easy on us, we take it easy on you" Direct quote. Have been back for my second cut and different barber but equally as good. Love that I can get my haircut at 6AM and for a great price. Look forward to my next cut in another week or so! Well done!!

Thanks Keith, we appreciate your business.
