I couldn’t recommend Cliff and First City Barbershop more. I’ve been getting my hair cut here since high school by Cliff, and I’m 34 now. That kind of consistency says everything. He's a great person, and provides a great haircut every time I visit. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area, and when my newborn son is ready for his first haircut, we’ll be coming straight to First City. The shop is welcoming and family-friendly, with easy scheduling and appointment booking. It’s also very convenient for residents of Leavenworth and the military community on base. Highly recommended.

My husband won't go anywhere else but here now. Idk his name but I think he's the owner , he knows wat he's doing he's the best we have found in this area since we moved here!!

Visiting from out of town. Great experience with Cliff at First City Barbershop across from Fort Leavenworth. I explained how I wanted my haircut and he executed the perfect drop fade. Highly recommend!

Very unprofessional. One guy just sits in his chair and does nothing. There is no warm welcome when you walk in. I am new to the area and wanted to find a good barber, this is not the place to go. I thought maybe it was a one time thing but no I went back and the same cold welcome was giving. It was if they didn’t want me to come get a haircut. It was 30 minutes before close and the one guy who just sits in his chair told me I would have to come back tomorrow, he didn’t even have a costumer! No thank you I will not be returning.

Cliff was amazing! He was patient and kind to my 2 year old that was getting only his second haircut ever. Cliff didn't get upset when my son moved or was upset in the beginning. He even talked to my son throughout telling him how well he was doing. 10/10 would recommend

South Leavenworth is my favorite location. Although North side isn't bad. South side is where they keep three heavy hitters. You can't go wrong with any of them, Darnell, David or Mason. They all take pride in there work and are very friendly people. I won't go anywhere else to get my haircut.

First City Barbershop consistently provides the most professional service I've ever had! Darnell is our guy but all the barbers are great. Their appointments are on time and they give great cuts no matter who you are. Keep up the great work fellas!

Instagram: CharlesCarlosV I have been to many places in the world, one of the hardest things for an African American with hair like mines is finding a barber who knows how to PROPERLY cut your hair and not botch or set you back. That day, I was new to Kansas and knew I was going to have a problem finding the right barber, I visited three barber shops with this one being the third that day, I was vetting these barber shops trying to find the right one, you can look at a barber, the demographics of the people he/she are cutting and the pace of the shop to know if they have what "you" need. For me personally who have been messed up numerous times trying to give benefits of a doubt, I was highly skeptical of the first two shops I looked at and ended up at this shop where I saw a full house mostly with people with my hair and haircuts I saw that actually looked crisped and sharp. The barbers there looked like they knew the business and weren't just pushing clients out like some of the other barber shops I've seen from time to time. High quality cuts from places like this, your going to easily wait a good while if you don't have an appointment, but barber shops like this ALWAYS make that wait worth it when you come out that shop killing the game, just look the pictures of my hair cut.

Best haircut I've ever had. The people who are complaining about the wait time either don't call ahead or dont understand that these guys aren't like great clips pumping out mediocre haircuts on the daily. They take their time and treat it like an art. On top of all that the staff is super nice and the prices are good. I'd recommend this barber shop to anyone looking for people who are doing what they love and doing it well.

Went in as a walk in; waited a few minutes (a couple guys in front of me) before the barber motioned that there was a guy in back. I didn't catch his name but he did a great job. Smoothest "to the skin" I've had in a long time and he brushed most of the loose hair off my head. Really a pretty good experience. I'd definitely give it another visit.
