I called last minute after my son had gotten a terrible haircut somewhere else the night before. They were able to get us in right away and Freddie did an amazing job fixing a really tough situation. This will absolutely be our go-to barbershop from here on out.

My favorite barber shop. Very friendly staff and i always walk out with a fresh sharp haircut. They use a hot towel and face massage when cutting my beard . Feels like a male spa :) .The owner freddy is very friendly & amazing at cutting hair along with the other staff. Shaby cut my hair last time and did a great job. Obviously ill be returning. 5 stars all around.

Working here for two weeks from out of town. Needed a haircut before returning home so I tried North Shore. They worked me in and John cut my hair. John was friendly, quick, and gives a great haircut. I will forgive him for his choice in football team.

North Shore Barbershop is fantastic! John is my barber and he always does a great job cutting my hair—consistent, professional, and attentive to what I’m looking for. The shop itself is very welcoming and has a great atmosphere. Highly recommend North Shore Barbershop to anyone looking for a quality cut and a friendly experience.

I’ve gotten a few haircuts from John and they’ve been some of the best I’ve ever had. He’s detail-oriented and everything always comes out just right. I went in today for a beard trim for the first time and didn’t really know what I wanted, but it turned out great. Couldn’t be happier with how it looks. Highly recommend John.

Jad did a fantastic job! Needed a kid’s haircut for my son and was able to get in quickly. He spent time making sure everything was cut well and styled perfectly - my son was thrilled! Will definitely go back soon :)

I had the great pleasure to have my head professionally cut ShAby to PERFECTION! The thoroughness of every process was exactly to specifications. The details that his eye picked up has me looking & feeling 10 years younger. I am so prepared to impress the girls this coming 2026 New Years celebration. I have never had a haircut such as this before, and I am overjoyed at my new clean-looking visage.

My husband has gone twice to see John for haircuts. Both times have come out spectacularly — true works of art! We don’t live in the Chicago area currently but I told my husband his main barber needs a trip here to learn from John and the crew. Quite affordable compared to what we are used to as well out east. Great work!

UPDATE: After our one terrible experience, the manager reached out and wanted to make things right. The owner, Freddy, offered to fix my son’s hair. So we went back with a hint of trepidation, but everyone was so kind. Freddy took the time to talk to my son, he looked at the picture and asked questions to make sure everyone was on the same page. He did the best he could to clean up the cut, and my son left with a genuine smile. Luckily, hair grows quickly. The gist of my original review was that my son asked for something very specific (and attainable for his hair length and texture) and left with the worst haircut he’s ever had in his life. The barber was slow, and not only was it not what he wanted, it wasn’t even a good cut. It was choppy in all the wrong places. HOWEVER, all of our other visits have been perfectly fine. We were just unlucky that day, I guess. I really appreciate how the management went above and beyond to try to make up for the bad experience.

I have to say that this was one of the best barbershops I’ve ever been. They did a great job with my double zero high fade trim along with a bearded faded trim. They even offered me coffee and washed my hair. Super grateful. Definitely going to visit them again.
