Great service! My first time at a barber and Hector was helpful in selecting a style for me. Asked me questions and opinions about my cut the whole time making sure I liked it from start to finish. Would recommend!

As an African American male, I was treated with respect and knowledge of my personal skin concerns. My barber was well rounded and professional about his business. As with all businesses in our communities, with unstable times, it takes the community to recognize it own and to be there for each other. God bless this professional business.

Hector is a great dude, super professional and knowledgeable but also very relatable and charismatic. I’m definitely going back, he’s got reasonable prices and makes the experience real personal too, like chatting with a bud and walking out looking sharp.

Definitely worth the price of the cut. Hector is very professional and a really good guy. He will also get your fade right. Had a great conversation and he even provided some education and tips on good hair care in between cuts. Will definitely be returning!

Highly recommend for first timers . Hector took his time and value in his work . Broke down every step for me to understand and learn how to cut my boys hair . My baby was so happy with his cut ! I couldn’t be more happy with my experience! We both walked out happy! Definitely will come back for a second time !

What a great service I had here at Barbershop 644! The barber Hector has amazing skills and talented for his work. He uses his experience not only on the machine but in conversation as well. Definitely recommend this barber to anyone!

If you are looking to get a top notch cut and clean beard work, look no further than Hector at Barbershop 644. I visited Barbershop 644 for the first time having booked an appointment with Hector. I just recently moved to Waukegan and I was looking for a reputable shop to get a haircut and some beard and mustache work. After a relatively small amount of online research it was clear that this spot was the place to go. Hector proved to be a fantastic barber who is extremely polite, courteous, and very personable. He listened to how I wanted my beard and hair cut, then he made it a point to go over everything briefly to make sure we were on the same page. I solicited his advice on what he thought would be a good hair length for me and my way overgrown mustache. We settled on a medium fade to a 1, scissors trim up top, over the ears, fade the side burns into the beard, razor edge-up the beard line, and a lip line mustache trim. The fade was clean with no visible patches. The beard work was neat with sharp edging. Hectors shop talk rounded everything up very nicely and made for both a professional and comfortable atmosphere. I waked out feeling fresh and confident, and my wife was nothing but compliments. I will be bringing my business back to Hector and I would recommend anyone who asks to his shop.

I hardly if ever care for reviews but after having my first haircut in a new area I had to let it be known that I could not recommend this any higher unless I was payed to do so haha. Great little hidden gem with a simple atmosphere,the best barbers I've encountered in over 4 years! This is for cuts obviously but I have to touch on the barber as a person, at least Hector,never had a full on conversation with a barber before it's either we are quite or they're on the phone but not the case here! Engaging haircut and have made a new standard for me. Not too sure about you the reader but you're missing out not going here 😐

Hector is a great guy and an awesome barber! He truly cares about the quality of his work and WAY undercharges for how much time and effort he puts in. I'd pay double what he charges for the work he does, so I always try to tip big. Try to make an appointment a day or two in advance, it's totally worth it.
