My barber was Mateo, he was so nice and gave me exactly what I wanted, even though I didn’t know exactly what to get, Mateo helped me and gave me suggestions of what looked best. Truly recommend.

I would not recommend this barbershop due to the lack of professionalism and inability to service their appointments in a timely manner. I left after a half hour wait past my scheduled appointment time. Dorly had no interest in fulfilling his his duties as a barber on 10/29/2025 at 7pm. He consistently runs behind, so plan accordingly especially if you have other responsibilities to tend to. Good/reliable barbers are hard to come by nowadays and most seem to want to charge premium prices. A lost trade or perhaps too many posers infiltrating the otherwise noble profession.

I got a burst fade from Mateo and it came out great! He took his time with every little detail, making sure that everything was sharp and blended smoothly. You can tell he cares for his clients and enjoys what he does. The shop had a chill vibe, everyone was talking and having a great time.

This was my first visit, and Fabian cut my hair and beard. Definitely one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. The shop is clean, and the barbers are friendly. Go check them out if you’re looking for a classic barbershop experience.

walked into this establishment and all the barbers were friendly and nice and greet you as soon as you walk in the door. The shop is very nice clean and plays great music, I booked with lando and got a 10/10 haircut Gentelmans Barber lounge is by far the best barber shop to go to in the elgin areas all the barbers will get you crispy especially lando

Very friendly barbers. Feels like a great community and it’s a lively place with good conversation. Sam J is my barber, and he’s top notch. He doesn’t take short cuts and prides himself in his work.

Haven't had much luck going to franchise shops for my sons haircuts. Decided to try this place because of the good reviews. Lando cut my sons hair and did a great job with the scissors and clippers. He was even there on a Sunday. Definitely gained a customer.
