Called asking if they take walk-ins. Guy said yes but you gotta WALK IN. I said I was just asking if they take them and if they're busy or not. He got super rude and started talking over me. Hung up and chose a different barber.

About two months ago I went in for a retwist the person that was cutting my hair got upset because he didn’t properly communicate with me what type of dreadlock services he offer at all got into with me in the barbershop then got in his feelings about me telling him he did my hair wrong of course Dave wasn’t there to see it and hear about the situation I been trying to get in contact with the shop for weeks now

Realize that other barbers didn’t care about messing up my kids lining head structure( lol daddy told me about it) my kids love it a great experience.

I used to go to this shop when it was a few feet across the street from its current location. Dave has always been legit with the clippers!! I was a regular back around 2002 when I lived in Riverdale and loved the shop. Dave also gave me some great words of wisdom as I was in the process of enrolling in barber school, which is why I moved to Illinois in the 1st place. Fast forward 21 years later, Im still choppin and own my own Barbershop and Salon in MS. Thanks for the inspiration Dave!🙏🏾💪🏾💯💈

Best place to come for a haircut very consistent with your hair never have to worry about something being messed up been knowing about this place since 2004 and it is full of good vibes always good conversation friendly always fun to sit and listen to everyone talk and I've learned things by sitting and listening and always on point with my haircut👍😁

The most important thing at the barber shop is the haircut, and my barber (Dave, I believe) did a great job. The ambiance is average and could improve the aesthetics a little bit, but that's not a major turn off with barber shops for me. The conversation was lively & controversial (largely due to my initiating a provocative opinion) and I appreciated it. I would definitely go again when I am in the Riverdale area visiting friends again.

I went to Dave's Cut Above Barber Shop because my barber wasn't available. Dave cut my hair and did a fantastic job! The guy must have some OCD tendencies because he cut my hair perfectly. The sides and back are perfectly tapered. And he even managed to blend in my hair to hide the thinning hair that I've been dealing with. Went to see him as a backup. But I will be returning. I love his prices too!
