Always have a good experience here. I come here whenever I can to get a cut and they always do a great job. Edit: Came back again after being away from a while. It's just Jonathan now but don't let that deter you if you had a previous regular barber. Jonathan does a great time and has great attention to detail to give you the best cut possible. I'm very happy with the haircut.

This is the best barber shop I have ever been to. I have been going for a couple years now and always left happy, relaxed, and looking great. It was at the high end of what I was willing to pay for a haircut, but worth it. With the recent price increases, sadly I can no longer justify the expense. I will miss this place. If you can afford it, you will get an excellent cut and great service.

Outrageous prices. I was a big fan of this place. The barbers are professional and fun. The owner is a class act and I thoroughly enjoyed getting my hair cut here even though the prices were much higher than I had paid at any similar establishment. Starting in 2020 the price for my haircut went up to an even higher price, as they raised prices by around $20. It was no longer at the top end of my price range. It was now way above. The service here is amazing, and if you can rationalize spending $65+ tip for a basic men's haircut and hot towel, then by all means go to Dapper. The price is just way too high for me. Bummer. Now I have to find a new place.

I used to love this place. It was the only place I would cut my hair in Chicago since I moved here in 2018. The staff is very friendly and personable. The haircuts are always professional and fresh. The staff is also very skilled especially with the straight edge razor. Unfortunately, things have changed in 2020. Their haircut prices have increased 33%. Wow! I don't know if I can go back at these prices especially, since the barber (Alex) that cut my hair is no longer there.

From the moment I walked in I knew this place was top notch. Alex did a fantastic job of cutting my hair. I simply showed him a (very pixelated) photo and we were off to the races. Not only did he capture exactly what I was hoping for, but also talked me through the whole process. While some might shy away from the prices (definitely not on the low end), it was definitely worth the quality cut. If you don't care what your hair looks like, I would suggest going somewhere else. However, if you're looking for a great experience where care and attention to detail are at the forefront of service, this is the place to go. The scalp massage and hot towel was icing on the cake! I'd give this place 6 stars if I could - will definitely be back!

So, I identify as female- keep this in mind when reading this review. As a female, I have never been to a Barber Shop, but boy have I been missing out all these years. Dapper was such a great experience. I enjoyed getting to know the barbers, and they always made me feel welcome. They have some pretty incredible services for peeps with facial hair- I plan on getting my partner in there someday soon. The owner was wonderful. He has great taste- and he was down to earth. I thought it was well priced, but again I say this as a first timer. I liked how you are able to schedule your appointment online, and I really loved the atmosphere. The place was clean and seemed kid friendly. Check them out- your Mother wont mind at all if you do.

A wonderful update on a classic barbershop. Earnest, serious, professional barbers in a beautifully appointed, comfortable, inviting shop. Prices are a total bargain for the level of service and outright skill. Try the basic cut and you’ll be back for more. The next time I’m there I’m doing the shave as well. Also, nicely curated music and outstanding conversation. The barbershop version of a hip, neighborhood restaurant where all the chefs are outstanding. Go. You’ll love it.

This place is super legit! Moved here from Oregon, leaving a barber of 5 years. Nothing harder than finding a new guy, but think I've got mine now. Jonathan did an amazing job on my haircut. The place felt chill, welcoming and comfortable. Cool & Relaxing vibe. Will definitely be back.
