Eric and his team are THE BEST! I've been going to Eric for a few years now, and love the vibe at this shop. Eric is an absolute artist, and his team is so great as well. I always leave feeling relaxed and so happy with how I look. The best part? Someone who takes care of my kid so well. My son was concerned about drastically changing his hair, as he had been growing it for a long time and was shoulder-length. Eric talked him through a plan, and then gave him his absolute favorite haircut. Eric treats him like the owner of a barbershop should, like a young man getting a real hair cut. I'm grateful to have met Eric, and wish his shop and his team the best.

Definitely recommend Barber Haus to anyone. Went to this place on a whim a couple of months ago and was really happy with the haircut and the good energy in there. Went back today and booked Matthew again, definitely my go to, he has great attention to detail and does a really good job. Can’t recommend both Barber Haus and Mathew enough!

Update as of 1/23/26: No response or additional feedback from the shop. This was hands down one of the most frustrating haircut experiences I’ve had in years. I went to Barber Haus on Saturday 12/13/25 for a haircut and beard trim with Danny P. I was very clear during the consultation about what I wanted. I came in with a mid-length flow hairstyle that I had been intentionally growing for several months, with low tapers at the sideburns and a low taper at the nape. I also showed a reference photo that clearly demonstrated the exact look I wanted to maintain. Despite all of that, Danny completely ignored both my explanation and the reference photo and defaulted to clippers, running multiple guards high up the sides of my head. What I received is a high, aggressive fade—not a low taper by any professional definition. Even worse, he barely used scissors on the top or sides, which is the primary technique required when maintaining a mid-length hairstyle. The result is a harsh, disconnected cut that destroyed the shape, flow, and structure I had spent months growing out. This wasn’t a minor miscommunication or a stylistic difference. This was the wrong haircut entirely. Because of this, I now have to wait another 2–3 months just to grow my hair back to where it was before this appointment. After the cut, my hair was rinsed using ice-cold water, which was extremely uncomfortable—especially considering it was about 10 degrees outside that day. Completely unacceptable and far from a premium experience. The beard trim itself was OK and clearly rushed. I’ve been getting haircuts since I was 15 and have been to Barber Haus multiple times in the past, so I know exactly what it looks like when a barber rushes through a service instead of taking the time to engage with the client and deliver what was discussed. Spending $90 on a haircut that blatantly ignored the consultation and reference photo is unacceptable. This experience was a waste of money. I will not be returning. That’s unfortunate because I’ve enjoyed the shop’s ambiance in the past, but this visit was a complete miss.

Absolutely standout place; the last bastion of a safe space for men in the suburbs. Jonathan’s been keeping me looking sharp for the past 5 years now and always does a great job. Eric, Chris, Danny and all the guys here are super friendly, always have me laughing and are a joy to be around! 11/10 would recommend this wonderful establishment

Chris has been cutting and trimming my hair and beard for almost a year now, and the work is absolutely amazing every single time. The attention to detail, consistency, and skill really set this place apart. The atmosphere is great, relaxed, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The hot and cold towels are always the perfect temperature, and the water for the shampoo wash is spot on as well. It’s clear they care about comfort just as much as quality. If you’re looking for a great cut or trim for your hair and/or beard, this is definitely the place to go. Hands down the best barber shop in the western suburbs. Highly recommend!

We are super unhappy what just happened. My wife and son just got back and very disappointed. Nothing even close what they asked to do. Chris just took clippers and shaved the head. I don't understand how can you charge $80 for this and call yourself a barber place. My wife told him that is not what she asked, was not happy and was told it will grow back. Are you kidding!!!!

Very professional and clean barber shop. My barber was Matthew and he did a fantastic job. Was very good at understanding how I wanted my hair cut and executed it perfectly. Good vibes here, will be returning.

The gentlemen who work at the Barber Haus are all fantastic. My husband has been getting his hair cut by Eric for a couple of years now. He is always impressed by his cut. We now take our boys to the Barber Haus because of the great experience my husband has had with this establishment. You may pay a little more than a sports clip for a kids or maybe an adult male cut, but know you or your son(s) are getting a quality haircut by barbers who are passionate about their craft.

Had my first cut at Barber Haus with Jonathan. I told him I was open to new ideas and he gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had! He also had recommendations for product and how I could style it in the future. Excited to come back! Would highly recommend Jonathan!
