I love Nick's Barbershop. I used to be a budget haircut person but that's no longer the case after getting a cut here. Every time I get a cut at Nick's I'm shocked how good the outcome is...especially with the massive cowlick on the front of my head.

Updated price list (see photos) Update: 24 April 2024 Perfect haircut again Nick and Mikey do great work. Update: 22 Feb 2024 Same as usual: 5-Star service l The call ahead feature is wonderful. Update: 17 Nov 2023 Still 5-Star service. Call ahead, no walk-ins allowed. Update: 11 Aug 2023 Same great cuts and service. 5-Stars. Call ahead for your time. No more waiting inside for long lines. Prior Review: Great experience by two great barbers. The newly implemented call-ahead systems works wonders. No more sitting and waiting. You get booked a time. And, please do not be a "deadbeat" customer. When you are scheduled be on-time. The barber's time is just as valuable as the customer's time. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Good old fashioned cuts that look great. The shop is clean and well lit. New prices, but same great service. Easy access for handicapped since it's right off the parking lot. (See photos too)

Nick's Barber Shop is a cut above the rest! Not only does Nick give an incredible haircut, but he also makes the whole experience enjoyable with his great conversation. The shop itself is spotless, and the atmosphere is just perfect for kicking back and getting a fresh look. Highly recommend stopping by if you want both a top-notch cut and a good time!

Took my son here for the first time today. We loved it. Mikey did his hair cut. Both him and Nick were very friendly. One of the best haircuts my son has had for sure!! We will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been only getting haircuts from Nick for more than 11 years now and he is the best. By far the number one barber shop in McHenry County. So worth the price, great conversations every time, and an awesome haircut. Nothing but good things to say about Nick.

I visited Nick’s Barber Shop multiple times and had the pleasure of having Mike as my barber. He always does an amazing job with my haircut and beard trim. I am impressed by his attention to detail and his ability to create a look that was both stylish and professional. The atmosphere of the shop was welcoming and friendly, and I felt right at home. I highly recommend Nick’s Barber Shop and Mike to anyone looking for a great haircut and grooming experience.

This has been, hands-down, the best barber shop I have been to in the area! Nick is the sweetest! He’s funny, he’s great at connecting with people’s interests, as well as remembering details and stories he most likely hasn’t heard in months. You can definitely tell he cares about his customers and loves what he does! As a woman with a non-traditional ‘men’s style’ haircut, I can tell you that Nick has been nothing but accommodating to me, and never once made me feel that I don’t belong in the shop, as some other’s have. I’ve personally been looking into becoming a barber myself, and he is consistently encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable about education in the surrounding area. I would recommend this shop to anyone, anytime. Nick and his guy are the best!
