Kevin is well meaning. He apparently wants to show his appetite to serve customers by working fast and anticipating what style the customer wants. However, he did want not take the time to stop and listen to me tell him how to cut my hair. By trying to show eagerness he came across dismissive. I don’t really care about the style in the end and I got the impression he’s only down for a basic cut anyway. So I let him proceed. Then he got out the high pressure air hose to get stray hairs off me after the cut was done. I’ve never seen anything like it in all the 15 countries I’ve had a haircut. Not only that, he was not careful in use of the high pressure hose and he momentarily blew it in my ear. If he’s not careful this could affect someone’s hearing. It could also force hair into the ear canal. Kevin clearly wants to please customers and may feel some vulnerability because he does not speak English well. I’d encourage him to learn the language so he doesn’t have to go to other lengths to make up for it. This barbershop is not fit for use. Another thing, he became visibly upset with me, facial expressions and muttering and all, for pulling my face away and confirming he had the right length setting for the beard trip. Why didn’t I trust him? His behavior up to that point, my observation he did not speak English well, and the look of the trimmer. It didn’t look like it had a number 2 on it. Turns out it did. He’d understood me. It was a difficult circumstance overall and everything would improve with him slowing down, confirming everything everyone asks him to do before acting. And losing the high pressure hose. Has he no sense?

Terrible barber shop. Started cutting my hair immediately without asking what I wanted. I will never come to this place again. If you’re reading this save yourself and do not come here.

I showed barber the haircut i wanted. Once he finished cutting my hair, i felt that it was little longer, so i requested him if he could make it a bit shorter. But he was pissed and was very rude. Will never come back here again

After yet another bad experience at SportClips I decided to try Dunwoody Barber Shop. It's a nice old school Barber Shop, quant old style chairs and wood finish. Mr. Lam did a nice job with my hair cut, and used a straight blade to trim my neck. I will certainly go back. The only reason I gave 4 stars was his english is not the best so it took a minute or so to get across what I wanted.

Took my teenage son for a trim before his school picture day and asked more than once to only trim his hair, and not to take any off the front and top. He proceeded to take 4 inches off the top and gave him a virtual buzz cut! Doesn’t speak English very well, and apparently doesn’t understand it either. BUYER BEWARE!

Formerly Ernie's (retired this past spring). New owner Kevin worked side-by-side with Ernie since before summer 2023 and at other times in past. Super clean shop. Friendly. Total pro. Great attention to detail. My teenage son happy too. Adult cuts are $25 +tip. Hard to beat.

Was visiting my daughter and grandkids from Fla. and needed a haircut. So, I visited Ernie’s on recommendation of my daughter whose office is in the same building. Truly a great experience. Great cut and enjoyed visiting with Ernie and Ron, two terrific gentlemen. Barbershop at its finest. Will make a point to visit again next time I’m in town. Thanks again guys for a joyous experience.,.. Ken

The barbers were really friendly but im not satisfied with the haircut. The fade was mediocre, and for the price I felt like the barbers should have more skill. Also they didn't tell me they only take cash until after the haircut was finished.

First time going to Ernie's barber shop and got a very nice haircut by a guy named Kevin. He did a great job on both my hair and beard. Had a nice chat with the barbers there and they were all very friendly. Would definitely recommend this barber shop.

By far the best experience I've had getting my hair cut! Ron and Ernie are great professionals, I love the feel of the shop, the perks of the foam shave and massager are amazing, and Ron gave me that perfect casual/professional blend that fits any occasion. Definitely coming back. Don't forget to bring cash though!
