Update after response: You mentioned several things in your response that need to be clarified. First, I never said that all barbers I had before were “terrible.” What I actually said was that in my experience it is difficult to find barbers in Miami who consistently do a good job. Those are two very different statements, and I would appreciate it if my words were not misrepresented. Before the haircut even started, I clearly explained that I had a hair transplant and specifically asked not to go high with the trimmer in that area. Despite that, the very first movement with the trimmer went directly into the transplant area. That was the moment I started stopping the barber and asking what he was doing. Regarding the reference photos: yes, one photo I showed was about two years old because it clearly shows the shape of the haircut. But that was not the only reference. I also showed photos and videos from about three weeks ago of my haircut done by my previous barber, who unfortunately moved to another state. After leaving your barbershop, I went to another shop to see if the situation could be fixed. The barbers there had previously seen many times how my former barber cut my hair. When they saw the result and the photos I showed, they were genuinely surprised and could not understand how the haircut request could have been misunderstood. Unfortunately, they also confirmed that the haircut cannot be fixed and the only option now is to wait until the hair grows back. The main issue for me was not even the mistake itself, but how the situation was handled. Instead of correcting the situation or calmly finishing the haircut, I was told that I had “disturbed the emotional state” of the barber and the haircut would not be continued. I was left with a half-finished haircut. Because of this, I now have to wear a cap for several weeks and postpone several important meetings. When I was leaving the barbershop, the atmosphere was also very uncomfortable. People were looking at me as if I had done something wrong. Situations like this create an environment that people simply do not want to return to. As for the statement that other barbers who observed the situation refuse to work with me — that argument is not very convincing. Those barbers work in your business and are paid by you, so naturally they will support your position. Regarding the refund, I did acknowledge that and appreciate it. However, mentioning the $100 price was never about the money itself. For me that amount is not significant — I could easily leave the same amount as a tip for good work. The point is that when a service is priced at that level, a client reasonably expects a professional result. Focusing on the refund and the price instead of the actual situation only gives the impression that criticism is being taken personally rather than addressed professionally. My review simply reflects the experience I had. I hope situations like this are handled differently in the future so other clients do not have a similar experience. Review: Tell me, please, Oleh, how could this happen? I visited a barbershop owned by you, a barber who is also the master stylist there. You charge $100 per haircut and have 15 years of experience in barbering; you even teach classes. I gave you exact photos and videos of the haircut I wanted so there would be no misunderstanding. However, you shaved off half my head. Now I have no choice but to wear a cap for several weeks and miss important meetings I need to attend. Hello.<br><br>The situation has indeed unfolded in a rather challenging manner, but let's not look at it from just one angle.<br><br>First of all, we'd like to point out that in Oleg's 15 years of experience, this is the first such case. During this time, he's served hundreds of satisfied clients, won multiple barbering championships, and personally trained our team. His experience and professionalism are well-known to our clients. Therefore, one can only imagine what the working environment must have been like for a stylist with such experience to be unable to calmly complete a haircut.<br><br>Secondly, the photo you provided as an example of your desired haircut was old. At that time, your hair placement, texture, and even color were different. Therefore, it's technically practically impossible to reproduce the exact same haircut as in that photo, not least because you sewed in 10 mm of hair on the sides. We can't add hair extensions or create a style that requires longer hair.<br><br>Furthermore, even before you started working, you remarked that all the barbers you'd previously had haircuts with were "terrible." When a client arrives with this attitude, it immediately creates a tense atmosphere and makes it clear that complaints are likely regardless of the outcome.<br><br>During the haircut, you constantly stopped the barber, monitored their every move, reacted harshly to their clippers, and questioned their actions after almost every movement. This behavior creates a lot of pressure for any professional.<br><br>Just imagine: you're working with someone sitting next to you commenting on your every move and telling you what you're doing wrong. Will you ever achieve any results under such conditions?<br><br>Furthermore, every barber who had the opportunity to observe you working with them refused to work with you in the future. We sincerely wouldn't wish such an attitude on any barber. Plus, you've said several times that the barber does a good job, but you just didn't have good communication. And even the photo you attached doesn't show anything alarming. We have a video that Google doesn't allow us to attach, but it clearly shows the job was done well.<br><br>We refunded your money to resolve this situation as politely and respectfully as possible. Therefore, your mention of a price when you haven't paid anything is strange, and you left after agreeing with the barber that you had a bad communication and taking your money. Why ruin the entire establishment's rating because of one poor communication, especially since the negativity came from you from the very beginning?<br><br>Unfortunately, the review system is designed so that customers can leave negative comments about establishments, but the establishments themselves don't have the ability to leave reviews about customers. Although sometimes it would be useful so that the next barber understands what kind of communication they'll be dealing with.<br><br>We sincerely hope you find your perfect barber, one with whom you can develop comfortable communication and mutual understanding—and that our paths will never cross again.<br><br>And perhaps, if you dislike all barbers' work so much that you allow yourself to insult them, including in front of other barbers, it's worth considering: maybe the problem isn't the barbers after all.<br><br>Our doors are always open to respectful clients and constructive communication. I’ve been coming to this barbershop for a while now and I honestly love this place. The haircut here is always top-notch — probably the best haircut I’ve had. The fades are clean, the attention to detail is amazing, and they really know how to style hair properly. I also did a perm here and it turned out great. They use high-quality products, and I even buy my hair cosmetics here because I trust what they recommend. The atmosphere is great, the staff is professional and friendly, and you can tell they really care about their work.
