I used to love this place. It gave the perfect old-school barbershop experience, and Matt gives a good haircut. I understood why he closed the waiting area and made everyone wait in their cars during the pandemic, but he's still doing it years later. Going here now is a bizarre and depressing experience. He doesn't seem to want to be there. The shop is often closed early or doesn't open at all, without so much as a sign on the door. The last three times I tried to come, the place was closed for no apparent reason. I get my hair cut somewhere else now.

I trust Matt and he has not let me down. Very skilled he absolutely knows what he’s doing. If you want a great haircut this is the place to go to. I will be coming here for a very long time. Tip your barber extra he should up his prices.

I will start this review by saying that Matt is a talented barber. I've patronized his shop a few times now, and have never had a bad haircut per se. His methods are deeply rooted in a lot of traditional barber techniques. The prices are very reasonable, and overall there is good value for the service. With small shops like this, the customer experience can be a little disorganized and drawn out. It's not unusual for wait times to be loooong. You can expect to wait 30-45 minutes per client. So I would advise that you go during non-peak times if you can manage. I've also been told that I was next up, only to have another patron's child come in after they were finished up with their own haircut. This can be quite frustrating if you've already been waiting nearly an hour. Matt can be a bit direct and rigid. As soon as you walk into the shop, he welcomes you by yelling over to you to wait in your car until he waves you in. I realize that this isn't personal, but it'd be nice if the greeting was a little more pleasant and welcoming. Secondly, Matt has his "system" for cutting hair. If you try to explain something outside the box of this system, Matt seems to get a little frazzled and impatient. When I tried to articulate a specific way I wanted my hair cut, Matt hastily cut me off and told me he'd be giving me a "long haircut" and to "try to remember that next time". I started patronizing this barber only to find something closer to home. While I do believe that the service that Matt provides is of good value, I'm reluctant to return based on the general customer service experience.

Always an excellent cut! I took a friend and, he's lookin clean too! Also contrary to what google maps says they are open. It's just Matt during the day and, they're open 10-3:30 M-F. Definitely one of the best haircuts I've ever got and, for $17!? $30 gets you the cut and, a hot towel shave.

Johnny seems like a nice older gentleman but the haircut was absolutely atrocious. I asked for a skin fade and a little bit off the top as I was trying to grow my hair out with the eventual goal of having it long enough to comb back. What I got was a huge mess… Long hairs all over the place, a big bunch of hair on my left side just sticking out and uneven all over. I should have read the reviews before going there. Looking at them now I should’ve been a bit wary of letting Johnny cut my hair. It seems like every other review the owner, Mat, is replying to people apologizing for the haircut they got from Johnny and to ask for him next time. Will definitely not be coming back to this place. I was really looking forward to it as it is extremely close to my place but the haircut is cheap for a reason.

This is an absolutely awesome barber shop! Real old school feel. It completely lives up to its heritage! They do awesome work and are quick and efficient. They give great styling tips as well. The icing on the cake is how affordable a hair cut is. This is definitely my new barbershop. I would recommend this to everyone!

Love this spot! True barber shop feel and great customer service! Matt & his grandfather are awesome! After my first visit I was convinced this was my new barber! Been a repeat customer for a few months now! Matt has been informative and courteous to a tee, educating me on proper hair care! Best cut and a great price! Plus the shop dog is so bad ass!
