I enjoy and appreciate the location, the quirky, but delightful decor, the lighting and the music. I enjoy and appreciate that they don’t play the music loud as they did some years ago. And I simply enjoy the relaxed nature, never rushed, but never slow either. Also, my barber Mary is truly a delightful person and a very talented Barber. I also enjoy that I typically have never had any trouble parking right on the street very nearby. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself… Lol BTW, in the questionnaire part, I was asked if I was offered products to purchase. The only questionnaire options were yes or no and the truthful answer is there was no need to. My barber Mary already knew me and knew that I wasn’t a product type of person so therefore she respectfully didn’t push the products and I appreciate it her discretion, that’s the way things are supposed to work… Lol again

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was so grateful that Diana at Floyd’s Barbershop in Denver was able to squeeze me in while I was traveling from out of town. From the moment I walked in, I was met with genuine warmth and professionalism. As a first-time customer, the unexpected discount was a really pleasant surprise and set the tone for a great experience. Diana delivered one of the best haircuts I could have hoped for—thoughtful, skilled, and clearly done by someone who knows their craft. Along the way, we had a great conversation, and Diana was incredibly helpful in sharing insights about Denver and helping me get the lay of the land. It honestly makes it harder to leave knowing how good this barbershop is. If I lived in Denver, this would absolutely be my go-to place for haircuts. And any time I’m back in town, this is where I’ll return without hesitation. Highly recommended and super LGBTQ + friendly vibe.

whew, this is a sad one. i’ve been going to floyd’s since i was 13, im 26 now. i’ve always loved the energy and vibe of the shops and i’ve never been disappointed with any floyd’s i visit in the last 14 years. until today. i recently started a graveyard shift, so i can only do early morning appointments. i set up an appointment at the only floyd’s near me (this location was the closest with the earliest appointment available) that had a 9 am. i live out by the airport and recently had some car trouble so i took transit an hour and a half to this location just to get my hair cut. i accidentally put a mid length layer haircut instead of long layers. which ultimately i didn’t think would be an issue, as hair stylists are supposed to be certified to cut all types of hair. my hair is thinner and just past my shoulders, never had an issue. i came in right at 9 and the man at the counter was very rude. he took one look at me and confirmed my name and said ‘Yeah you put mid length but your hair is past your shoulders so it would have to be a long layer cut’ i told him i was sorry and that was fine with me. he then went on to say ‘i don’t have anybody here who can do a long layer haircut this is why it’s important you book the right service because my long layer people won’t be here until 2 so we have to reschedule you’. the way he said it was rude and demeaning. i felt like i was being shamed for setting up a hair appointment with the mistake of putting that my hair was mid length instead of long. i explained to him 2pm wouldn’t work for me as i work graves and i needed to be asleep during the day to prepare for my shift later. then the other stylist that he said couldn’t do a long layer cut asked me ‘well how long and detailed do you want the layers? how many layers’ and i said ‘it’s honestly fine i’m just going to go home’ because i didn’t feel comfortable getting my hair cut there any longer after the attitude and rudeness the man at the desk presented me with and the fact that he stated the other stylist didn’t know how to cut my hair the way i wanted. i’m not sure why they’d be able to cut mid length layers and not long ones being an entire hair salon that has close to 5 stars. i get some people specialize in cuts and such but having people there who don’t know how to cut shoulder length hair with some layers is actually baffling. on top of that, being rude and condescending to somebody who traveled an hour and a half out of her way is really sad. he gave me cards for other hair dressers and i took them out to be polite but had no interest in coming back after the encounter i experienced. i just came in for a haircut after a 12 hour night shift and then left feeling sad and defeated because of the energy from just the man at the desk. pro tip: don’t be rude to people who come in for a service because YOU didn’t have someone there who was comfortable cutting long layers. i would like to state the other hairstylist seemed so sweet and polite, i felt horrible he was blatantly saying she didn’t know how to cut layers, made me feel like he was putting her down in front of me and the male customer that was there, which isn’t professional or appropriate. i won’t be going to this location again and i think y’all should really take this into account that everyone is human living the human experience and we should all be kind to each other. the energy i received this morning from the male stylist working was beyond that. i hope all of your stylists don’t treat everyone like the man at the front desk did. do better , please. ~sincerely, a woman who just wanted her haircut

Got there 5 minutes early, just for the barber (Gary) to say I “scheduled my appointment wrong” when I've been doing that the exact same way since I’ve started going there and then turned me away because he “didn't have time” after he was already running 10 minutes late. To say this was disappointing and infuriating is an understatement.

I love this location. Staff is friendly and it is easy to visit. A special shout out to Mary. She is amazing. Haircuts are always great. She listens to what I want but also gives advice and suggestions. Just a top notch stylist. I will keep coming back.

I moved to Denver in March from Chicago. I used Floyd's in Chicago, so I decided to look for one here in Denver. This was the closest location to me. For my first cut, I requested someone named Rachel A, and she gave me two great haircuts. When I tried to schedule with her again after that, I found out she had left. They recommend I schedule with Dana J, so I gave her a try. I've gotten three haircuts from her so far and my hair has never looked better! I randomly told her in conversation how my hair gets really curly in the rain, and how wish it could look like all the time, but I've never been able to replicate it. She immediately grabbed two products and put them in my hair. Within a couple minutes it looked exactly like what I've always wanted and because of her it's been perfect for months. My third appointment with her yesterday, I hadn't shaved in a week and showed up looking super messy, but I told her I was just going to shave the beard off when I got home. She suggested that she thought it'd look good if I didn't shave it off and to let her do a beard trim. I hesitantly said yes, since I was convinced I wanted to get rid of it later any way, but gave it a try even though I had no idea what to expect. After she was done I was in shock. It looked SO good! She also put some oil on it that made the feel of my beard so much softer. Now I want to keep the beard for a while and I'm so happy I did the beard trim! I cannot recommend Dana J enough. A true professional who does an amazing job. Definitely schedule with her now, but leave appointments for me!

Gotta love Floyd’s! Awesome barbershop for kids and adults! Decided to get a haircut since my hair was long (and this location is my go-to) , and it was easy and smooth! Our barber AJ was nice and so was the rest of the staff, clean, and well organized on their items! My haircut also looked really nice! Booking through online or calling them is recommend because it can be a longer wait in-person. So, all in all, awesome Floyd’s Barbershop location. Will be back! Thanks AJ for the haircut! :D
