I’ve been coming to see Paul for six years now, and he’s one of THE best barbers I’ve ever gone to. After moving to the west side, I was looking for a new barber and was lucky enough to find him after a few weeks of some heavy IG research—once I saw the photos of his work, I was sold. We hit it off immediately, and I’ve been seeing him at least twice a month ever since. He’s a perfectionist in every way, with incredible attention to detail and a complete dedication to his craft. In the six years since I’ve known him, he hasn’t given me a single bad haircut, which is impressive since he’s seen me through several hairstyles—low fades, mid fades, high fades, tapers, and buzz cuts. He excels at all of them. I’ve sent several people to get cut by him (both friends and strangers who’ve asked). Paul’s the man, and, as a bonus, has fantastic taste in music—definitely ask for some recs and he’ll put you on. Also, the Venice shop in general is a gem. Everyone in the shop is friendly and a great hang, which is why it’s been a staple in the neighborhood for years. Highly recommend.

It was my first time at this shop and it’s definitely going to be my new spot. Everyone there was super friendly and funny, I had my cut done by Erick and he absolutely killed it!! 10/10

Sorry but this isn’t a barbershop. For $95 bucks it was absolutely not worth the cut. Paul was a really nice guy, really easy to talk too and enjoyed the conversation but for $95 I expected much better. He doesn’t know how to use a straight razor on the face. I expected at least this much from a BARBERSHOP. His equipment is sub par to say the least. If you have course hair then his clippers don’t work very well at all. Please get better equipment if you plan to charge folks 100 for a haircut. If you’re looking for a good line up on your beard do not go here, trust me. I asked for a low fade and got a high fade. Took him about 90 seconds to trim the top. So I don’t think it was very detailed at all. Super disappointed and won’t go back.

I've been going to Paul Tatel and Service & Supply for over four years. No one has ever cut my hair better (according to my wife). Great service, great cuts, great people.

the best barbershop around. have been a customer since they opened. Paul is my guy but everyone does a great job, vibes are on point and always great music played. All love to the S&S staff!!

Ended up in this barbershop by accident but happy I did, I had a nice experience. Katie cut my hair and she did a great job, she’s talented. The shop is small but well kept and it feels good. All of the barbers in there are nice so I definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for a new 1.

For a lot of men, getting a haircut can be a chore. Service & Supply makes it a pleasant experience and something I look forward to. I've been coming here for over 3 years, what I like most about it is the setup. You spend time with your barber, but also with other clients and barbers due to the layout of the chairs. It's arranged in such a way whereby you're not forced into conversation, you can sit quietly and have your hair cut, or participate in whatever the topic happens to be. I always leave smiling, sometimes still laughing. There's a rapport with the staff there that's inclusive for all clients. I find it to be a sanctuary and reset every 5 weeks. Plus, you can have a soda or a beer on the house. Crucially, I've always had a great haircut from Alex. He can give you a solid cut in 20 minutes, but when he takes his time for the full 40, that's when his talents are demonstrated. Highly recommended.

Been going for almost a year or two now, but I can't remember. But since the start, I've been getting my haircut with Alex. Alex does a hell of a job. You can tell he has a love for his craft. If you are looking for a new barber in the Venice area, Alex is the man.
