The best customer service pampering I’ve ever had in a barber’s chair and my barber took ten years off of my looks with the excellent job her did!

This place is a hidden gem and such an underrated barbershop in San Leandro. Certified Cutz is clean and everyone is friendly. I was greeted by the receptionist and was offered a complimentary drink. Although I did not accept, I appreciated the offer. My barber was Diego, I wasn’t too sure who to choose but I had a great experience with Diego! Not only did I get a great cut, I got a straight razor shave and hot towel. It was exactly how I wanted it. You can tell they take their time and show pride in their work. This is definitely my go-to spot moving forward. I wish the parking spots could be better but that’s the least of my concern since my haircut experience was great. I’ll be back again! Thank you.

Booked an appointment for my boyfriend to get his hair done. The first time we went, someone else cut his hair completely uneven; we’re talking noticeably bad. We came back to give it another shot and had Mario fix it. He did a decent enough job, so we decided to book with him specifically the next time. Texted Mario directly to set it up, confirmed the appointment, and showed up—only to find out he had double-booked. Instead of taking responsibility, he tried to lie and deny it… until I showed him the texts. Then, with no apology, no accountability, he tells us my boyfriend would have to be seen by someone else. The attitude? Rude. The professionalism? Nonexistent. Honestly, this whole experience was a mess from start to finish. Save yourself the time, frustration, and money skip Mario and these untrained barbers altogether.

Best decision ever made to have chosen to cut my hair and get my beard trim at Certified Cutz. I have been looking for a good place to get groomed for a long time. Tried couple of places earlier but it was a hit or miss. I chose Jose , a very skillful barber who has the ability to just look at the picture you show and cut the exact way you want it to turn out. Appreciate his workmanship, definitely going back again. Forgot to tip him but next time will be better prepared. Love his attention to detail while giving me a beard trim, he is patient and understands your needs swiftly. Highly recommend Jose to anyone who wants a fresh clean cut for an affordable price. Mario took me as a walk in and gave me a great cut. He fixed the bad hair I had thanks to a cheap barber. Looking forward to coming back! I’ll make a reservation next time. Welcoming environment.

Mario is truly exceptional at his craft. From the moment you sit in his chair, he prepares everything with precision and care. His barbering style is not only professional but also meticulous, ensuring every detail of your haircut is flawless. I’ve visited many barbershops that deliver great fades, but they often lack the full experience Mario provides. He goes above and beyond, using a straight razor for a great clean up and ensuring no strand standing out on top of my head. I’ll continue going back.

I just got a fade haircut here for the first time since I was referred by a friend and I couldn’t be happier with the result! My barber was Mario and he is incredibly skilled and really paid attention to details. The fade is sharp, clean, and perfectly blended one of the best I’ve ever had! They also had the steam machine for facial and beard trimming which was an added bonus. Felt like luxury. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place to get a haircut, family friendly, clean, professional, great customer service, engaging, focus on details. They make sure you are happy with your cut: great listeners. I’ve been coming here for more than 10+ years, my son got his first haircut here when he was 6yrs old & now 9yrs old, it’s become his favorite place and only place to go to. The time and dedication you get for your appointment time is the best. 🤩I love my haircut. My son is over the moon with his!😎 Worth the drive. **Pros:** - Engaging conversation - Enjoyed the basic spa treatment **Cons:** - Overpriced services - Poor quality haircuts - Disappointing experience I usually pay $25 for a haircut but decided to try something more high-end before a business trip. Unfortunately, my usual $25 spot does a better job. I could have achieved better results myself at home with my clippers. I’m now embarrassed to go on my business trip with this mediocre haircut and meet my engineering team. Although I felt bad for the stylist since he is just starting out and tipped him, I am considering asking for a refund. I do not recommend coming here for a haircut; they lack the necessary skills.
