Very talented barbers here. I observed everyone, and they can cut. Darren cut my sons hair and did an excellent job. Shop was welcoming and professional. I think this is my to go shop from now on. I walked in and didn't even wait they offered to cut with whoever was available. Enough parking and Pacman game we were playing as we were waiting. Excellent prices and attention to detail. Will be coming back soon.

Been coming here for years. More than 10 years to be exact. They've always taken care of me and my kids if you want a life long barber come down to Ce Jays.

When I made my initial review, I was in a rush to be somewhere thought my cut was okay seeing that we finished around 6 pm. I scheduled my appointment for 4:30 pm but didn't get seated until about 4:45 pm. I only go to 1 barber but was unable to make it do to work and needed to get a cut bad. The guy who cut my hair took longer than I expected. He didn't finish until a little past 6 pm and I wasn't too pleased, but I had other appointments I needed to be at where I was unable to give the barber who cut my hair more time to get it right. I asked for a skin bald fade with the top even. What I asked for was not what I got. The fade was decent, but it wasn't skin bald. I still felt peach fuzz when he said he could do bare skin. When I asked if he could go shorter, he said that was the shortest he could go when he confirmed before we started that he could do skin bald. The following morning when I tried to style my hair, the top was not even at all. My left side of the head had longer hair than the right and the front was shorter than the back. So, when I tried to style my hair, it looked like I had a bald spot, and it was very difficult to style my hair the way I usually do. I was not pleased at all. When I go to my standard barber, a good fade and cut usually lasts me 3 to 4 weeks before I need to go back for another cut. With the cut I got, I needed to go in after a week and a half to 2 weeks. I read the reviews after my cut and wish I would have paid more attention to the other reviews. All I can say is, if you like to style your hair a certain way with a fresh fade, I do not recommend going here. I do not plan to return myself and will stick to the barber I normally go to.

The old guy can do okay fades but I even told him pacifically to make my hair even on the top I told him to cut off 2 inches and he cut off about five and he didn’t even use scissors to cut off the top and everything is uneven. Do not get a haircut by the old guy he told me he has 50 years of experience but those 50 years of experience is just a mess someone up right.

This shop's location is really convenient! It's on the west side of East 14th just south of Ashland avenue, and very handy from the bus stop. The barber that I see there has been my barber for years and he's great! Look for Dave Jackson. They're all cool, there, so.

It was GREAT!!so my friend and I want to go get our sides shaved and she got a lil bit more than i did. The guys and everyone are fun and friendly they even have a lil salon in the back so if you want to get yoyr hair done it works for that too. Prices are very affordable and they are pretty quick with it.10 /10 will make an appointment again!

As a Mexican I strongly encourage Latin community to go to this amazing place. The owners are African Americans. it was a little intimidating at first because of my poor English, being the first time in a real barbershop and always have a woman cutting my hair. But they welcomed me and take care of me. I felt very welcomed. I never really liked the haircut from other places I never leave the salon satisfied of my look and constantly told myself that I could done it better myself. But Good lord let me tell you that a Ce-Jays is no joke They are the real deal. I discovered this place in the pandemic and Ce-Jays were the only one open near me. I have been there three times already and never get disappointed I have never experience that level of dedication and professionalism. Believe me when I told you that you will be a loyal costumer if you go there. I have a warn for you, you may not be able to walk in for an haircut you have to call and made a reservation, also is a cash only business . Remember communication is key in order to get o good dam results. They are super skilled and they surely will give you what you want , so be accurate in details of your desired haircut style and enjoy the results. Man I love this place.

Love this place.. it's a cool hometown Barbershop like you'd see in the movies. Craig is quick with the clippers and Darren is always the funny one. The shop get crowded but the wait is never very long. I highly recommend stopping in.

Very good!! The atmosphere is what you would want to have when going to a barbershop. It's always a good time when I visit this place. I don't live close but I'm happy to take the long trip just to come here and they cut hair very well ++
