Not sure how this place has 4.9 stars - AI? Bots? Paid reviews? I scheduled an appointment for 4:30 on a Friday. Mind you this is my firs time going here. I walk in and I'm not greeted, not asked about why I'm there and whether I have an appointment. Literally no one in the room acknowledged my presence. I can't even tell who works there and who doesn't. There are people standing around the barber chairs, other people actually working on clients, and at least 3-4 others waiting like me. So I sit down and wait for 20 minutes, still no one comes up to me. I see several people called up in that time. Eventually I go up to one of the barbers and ask if they can give me a beard trip and he said "ya I got you" so I sit back down for another 20 minute and nothing. So I just get up and leave. No customer service, no courtesy, not a good first impression overall. Personally, I wouldn't go back.

My experience with Jay Jay da Barber was raw, and he will definitely take care of you however you want it!!! And to top it off he don't be overcharging like the rest of these other barbers in other barber shops!!! Im definitely going back!! Yessir!!

I went in on 2/1/26 to get a fade from JJ. That guy is hella cool, easy to deal with and respectful. He was able to fix some of the damage done by a bad haircut elsewhere and gave me a good fade. I have a bad cowlick that he was able to deal with. I recommend him and I'll be back to see him next time around.

Make sure you guys check out “Jay Jay The Barber” he is such a nice barber very consistent and professional with his work and such a down to earth personality. He get my son right every single time.

Gatez is one of the best barbers Ive had. He genuinely cares about how the haircut turns out to be. Not to mention he is super chill, go here if you want to experience his art.

I used to have another barber who was great, but his shop was a bit too far from me. I decided to look for a barbershop closer to home and called in last minute on a busy weekend to see if they could take a walk-in. Fortunately, they had a barber available right away. JJ gave me a clean fade and an amazing design — definitely one of the best cuts I’ve had. He’s now my go-to barber! — New Year New Fade! JJ gets me right everytime! 01/09/2026

i was referred to Gatez the barber by one of my friends in the city. my nephew had a photoshoot and we were in need for someone professional & someone with patience. He was nice, interactive and did a phenomenal job. Now it was a commute but definitely worth it. Thank you Gatez you gained a client

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ANT THE BARBER Hands down one of the best barbers I’ve been to. Super professional, on time, and really pays attention to detail. You can tell he actually cares about the craft and not just rushing people through the chair. The fade was clean, the line-up was sharp, and the overall cut grew in perfectly — which is something a lot of barbers miss. Shop is clean, good vibes, and you leave feeling confident every time. If you’re picky about your haircut or tired of inconsistent barbers, this is the spot. Highly recommend — worth every dollar.

Leon’s a professional. Wouldn’t want my hair cut by annyone else. I moved here to San Francisco 3 years ago. My 2nd cut living here was done by Leon and he’s been my barber ever since.
