Remember Fast Times At Ridgemont High... I'm glad you asked..,, Remember when Brad Hamilton (Judge Reinhold) got fired by Dennis the fast food manager? And Nicolas Cage and another guy are the cooks. A customer is overbearing and Nicolas Cage and the other guy just look down, because Brad has an irate customer? Dennis fires Brad. Well, I have several emails. The two busy dudes (barbers) in the middle of the shop, just looked down, after Omar took thinning shears to my hair like a weed whacker, pretending nothing just happened like Nicolas Cage in Fast Times. I asked for the nape to be cut short, faded. He left it long in the back. Tattoo neck and tattoo face guy that takes two hours by going over the same section three times while he vapes behind the chair, also gave me a surprise cut. The thinning shear cut has grown, and now part of my hair are bulkier than others, long strands here and there. It's just hair. I'm the stylist that worked in a salon in Palo Alto at diPietro Todd during dot com. I don't use thing shears but I die deep point cuts to get rid of bulk, leaving length, not destroying hair like a chemical cut Tattoo neck guy insisted on my phone number, and texted me saying "by text" "this is Jerk" I dunno his name, other than he has a tattoo neck, and speaking to him, I had to hold my breath, because he seemed more lethal than Medusa, you'll turn to stone. He likes to do fist bumps to say hi. People are now shaking hands because Covid has no infection rates like 2020. As Glenda the good witch says "you have no powers here" but this industry, word gets around. I paid for both services and on a serious note, I'll go somewhere where I'm treated better. Clients are gold. If you have a client with time and the right resources, a better business report happens. But ultimately that comes down on the shop. (THE SHOP has been there for quite some time. I've gone there off and on while I'm not in a salon, those have been EDD times). Management steps in for a complaint of non compliance. You don't have to like all your clients, but your only as good as your last cut. When neck tattoo got me to give him my cell number, luckily my IPhone 11 does not show remote management, I don't used banking apps, and my email was not compromised. How people jail break phones, I dunno how it's done, but it's done. I had a client at Red Door Elizabeth Arden that was a downtown guy. He did not want to talk. He did not want any neck massage or wasted time. He was not elderly, maybe pushing 60. Ten to one, he did not go to the barber shop by the huge Bank of America building right off Stockton. Some Barbers just cut all your hair off. He was probably leary of me because the Liz Arden stylist that he went to prior was a girl, she move to Seattle. He wanted hair left. He got no hot towel, no shave, no added short perimeters added, just in and out in half an hour and we supplied the service he wanted. He was served drip coffee that was served in a coffee cup with a saucer, and he read his paper. Before the year was up, he was kind to me. Was he wealthy or someone big like Forbes top ten list. You gotta ask yourself that.

What is this? I asked for a high fade. He didn't show me the back. Now I know why, my friend pointed it out when I went out a few hours later. Paid $60 for this garbage. Going to have to go pay somewhere else now to get it fixed ASAP. Absurd. The environment was good, looks like everyone else was getting fair haircuts, not me though.

Sorry for the unpleasant experience and the feedback.

I’m really sorry to leave a bad review because you guys look nice and great, but the haircut was very bad. My hair is two times longer on one side compared to the other, I have never seen something like that, I wish I had realized before leaving the shop so I could get it fixed

Owner's response

I apologize for your experience. My name is Mike. I own the shop. I would like to offer you a free cut or at the very least to fix what you don’t like about the one you got. Feel free to reach back out…

My brother put me on this spot, and I've been going here for years now. The barbers are very friendly. Making appointments is quick and easy. Either online, the number online, or a barber's business card. The interior has a very nice "The Bay" vibe to it. Not too fancy and not too dull. I've been to other barbershops, but this one in particular is what a barbershop should look/feel like.

Eric gave me a great cut – and, myself being a person who doesnt get his hair cut very often and definitely doesn't know how to describe the particulars, that's even more impressive imo. He was wicked skilled at figuring out that great cut from my wildly nebulous descriptions of what I was looking for and a photograph from a strange angle. The prices are reasonable, cash is accepted and the atmosphere is very friendly. Thanks for the trim! ÷] Great service, impressive barbering, *highly* recommend.

First time customer, but definitely won’t be my last. I was on call for work, and they were so accommodating to take me in before my on-call period begun. OMAR was really professional, friendly, punctual and quick, yet his work was perfect. The haircut looks great, and my fellow co-workers love it as well. Can't recommend these guys and of course OMAR enough. Definitely will be going back. -Jet Hyland

Shoutout to my new barber Hugo, came in for the first time, was seen on time and he provided great service and even assisted me with my line up. He has clean cuts and a steady hand , came home and all my friends and family instantly asked where and who cut my hair, excellent service, and great work by Hugo! 5 stars ! Will be contacting regularly for haircuts now !!! 💯

First off, shout out to Omar for the haircut. I was originally referred to see either Juice or Mike by a fellow Marine I served with. But Omar proved why he’s at the back of the shop. Where I come from, it’s usually the barber positioned in the back that’s hella nice. But hey, I noticed all barbers there are hella nice, and I’m just glad Omar made a good case for possibly being hella masterful in his own right.

If you're looking for the best barber experience at an affordable price, then I'd recommend Eric. As a kid and a young adult, I HATED going to the barber because I never felt like they knew how to cut my hair right. It'd always be too short, too long or they never got the balance right. Eric changed all that for me. Not only is he extremely welcoming and nice, but he always checks in to make sure he's cutting it the right way EVERY time I've gone to him. He never rushes the experience and takes his time to perfect it. I've been going to him for 2 years and his services are going to be hard to replace once I move outside SF. Eric - if you're reading this - I appreciate you!
