Can’t say enough positive reviews! I’ve been coming to Dog Barber for 1.5+ years and they always do an excellent and efficient job. They’ve worked out many tear stains, mats and various lengths of my Maltipoo. Grateful for this local business and with convenient location near MUNI and market st.

Great dog groomers! I've been taking my cavalier here for most grooms, and even when we've tried others "just to see" we always come back to The Dog Barber. Roberto and his team do excellent work even on our fairly simply grooms, and I have seen proper poodle grooms and marvled at their work! They use treats for grooms if you allow them, which we do. That helped get my pup comfortable with grooming which was important for us. You can also book by phone or text which is convenient.

I contacted Roberto, owner of The Dog Barber, well in advance of finalizing our puppy's vaccination shots series. His response was thoughtful and helpful, instructing me on when our puppy would be ready, and how to prepare our new puppy for his first puppy grooming experience. We followed those instructions for about 6 weeks (still do: socialization, paw touching and play, etc.). When we arrived Roberto met us and welcomed our puppy. He immediately made our little guy comfortable with a treat and a kind hand, petting him and helping him get acclimated to this new environment. We left our puppy in Roberto's capable hands. When we returned, our puppy had been shampooed, had his fingernails clipped, and he had a most appealing puppy cut! He was handsome and remarkably well-groomed. Most importantly, as we left he turned back several times, with a bit of longing, indicating that he had a good experience and was treated very well. This gives us great confidence in Roberto, his staff, and his firm. We have definitely found our Dog Barber. And, he's definitely a keeper. We enthusiastically recommend Roberto, "The Dog Barber" to anyone looking for animal grooming expertise and thoughtful considerate handling and treatment of their beloved little creature. Our little guy looks great! Thank you, Roberto!

Tokyo had has first grooming. They are very organized and professional. Easy booking process and pick-up. Everything was on schedule. A bit on the pricier side but it’s reliable.

Roberto and the Staff performed a miracle on my rough collie, Kona Lassie! She looked SO beautiful, smelled amazing and her coat was SO well groomed & transformed! It’s my first time using The Dog Barber, and shopped around for the cost ($100+) but I will definitely become a repeat customer with my other rough collie, Zeus Laddie! Thank you Roberto for taking care of my furbaby! 🐕🥰

Roberto has always been very nice and kind to me and my dog. I lived in San Fran for years and always used him to groom my dog Ziggy. I cant tell you the level of happiness after getting Ziggy back but I was always very happy with the service. I often drove for hours away after i moved bc its hard to find a good groomer. pricey but worth it thanks for all the great haircuts Roberto and Staff.

This is my favorite dog groomer in the Bay Area. Roberto and staff always do a fantastic job; my dog looks cute, smells great, and leaves the shop happy. They even remember me, my dog, and what haircut I like, which is impressive since they probably see dozens of dogs per day! You can find cheaper groomers, but I haven’t found anyone who does a better job more consistently. Plus, it’s so important to find a groomer who makes the experience good for the dog, and Roberto and staff clearly put in effort to make the dogs comfortable and calm. This shop is popular and books up fast, so make your reservation a few weeks in advance. I like to book the next one when I pick my little one up.

After hearing great reviews from the doodle community, I decided to give this place a try. My dog Croissant is about 15 lbs, poodlemix. The grooming was $100. It took about 3 hours. Plan ahead because it takes a while (5-6 weeks) to get to schedule. The booking process was by leaving a voicemail and they texted me the the availability. Pretty simple process. I sent the photos of what type of haircut I wanted to Roberto ahead of time. His team did a great job on my dog. The only downside is finding parking since it is located on Market St.

Wow. Simply sooooo good! Our pup is about 1 year old and would always bite at us or anyone who tried to groom his paws. This morning I called and spoke to Roberto, 20 mins later our puppy was soooo happy! He trimmed his nails and around the feet perfectly. Roberto was so gentle yet firm when needing, which is honestly the best combo when it comes to a dog barber. We will be back 👋
