One of the best experiences I have had in a while from a barber shop BigWorm took care of me and made the vision I had come true. Definitely the person to go to and made sure I looked squared away before my family vacation. Definitely my new spot to go to.

I had a fantastic experience at The Alchemist Barbershop. Booking an appointment online was a breeze. Moe did a fantastic job with my hair—exactly what I asked for. The service was great, the price is totally fair for the quality, and the vibe is cool. I’m definitely coming back and would highly recommend.

By far one of the best Fade and haircut places I’ve received in the longest time. I’ve been all over and globally! Man knows his customers needs and he listens very well! They even have a fridge with beers and Topó Chico Seltzers! This was my 1st visit and he Also threw in a trim on the upper lip, nose hairs, chin and sides! Felt like I was a VIP! Word!

I’ve been to a ton of barbershops over the years in the city and finally have a home base here at Alchemist. Big Worm always gives great recs, and the vibes at the shop are absolutely great. He always delivers on the cut at a really good price point, and never a bad review from the wife.

I’m French and I came to San Francisco for a year — and honestly, this is the best barbershop I’ve ever been to! The whole team is super talented, but Ekbir is on another level — he’s given me some of the best haircuts I’ve ever had, absolute fire every time 🔥 He even fixed a bad haircut I got at university 😅 A solid 5/5, more than deserved!

I usually go to Beyond The Pale but they were all booked up so they suggested I try their sister shop, The Alchemist. Well fortunately these guys are just as good. Moe was very friendly and did a great job with my hair. Well worth the price ($55 + tip)

I went in for my first haircut and got the 40% off and it’s honestly one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Big worm will get you right every single time. No disappointments, you show em a picture/video and he gone do it to the T.

Been in SF over a decade now. Been to probably a dozen hair places for guys - this is certainly the best. Big Worm (aka German) is so good that I make a point to visit every few months! Service is pristine and price is very very good. I think he captures that vibe I’ve been looking for in a barbershop - great workers , superb work ethic and everyone leaves there happier. If you’re new and looking for a good cut at an affordable price- head here!
