Been here twice. The first time I was lucky to get Joe — a very friendly and professional barber. With minimal explanation, he immediately understood what I wanted and delivered exactly the haircut I had in mind. Highly recommend.

Generally I've had good experiences but I asked for a fade today and walked out with this for $45 and had to spend another $45 somewhere else to get it fixed. I'm not naming the barber because he gave me the opportunity to ask for changes and I said no because I'd never had this happen to me before and didn't think to check for it. So I just left and didn't notice it wasnt actually faded until I got home. Just don't leave without making 100% sure you're happy with it.

Consistent quality. Great chat. So glad I moved back to the neighborhood where they’re accessible to me again.

All I can say is “WOW”! in the most sarcastic way. The owner was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Will never go back. Don’t go here if you want professional service. It’s the owners job to be courteous and this guy was not courteous at all. Very rude to costumers.

Joe has anger issues! I came for a haircut and asked for a low fade on the sides, long in the back and on top (the basic gay haircut of 2025). He argued with my instructions and buzzed the sides and back of my hair all the way up. At the end of my haircut, I asked if he could fix it (didn't look like a fade at all), and he got offended and went off on me for being a bad customer. He wouldn't even let me get out of the chair while he was lecturing me! Joe offered me a free haircut, but he wouldn't let me talk for ten seconds without interrupting me and shouting at me. Such a nightmare.

Joe is extremely rude. I brought in my scooter and he yelled at me to put it in the back. I put it in the back and he was still hollering in front of everyone!! On the way out he politely told me I can always put it in the back, but then said I don’t need to be so “nasty” next time? Joe: if you’d like to apologize, feel free to call me. I don’t get why you were so upset at me. It pains me to write this review since I’ve been coming to John and Jennifer for more than a year and they both do a great job. I always tip at least 20%. The conversations I have with John while he cuts my hair are just delightful. I hope I can come back without being verbally attacked, it was a great experience up until today.

Being that this was Pride weekend, these guys were slammed! But, being in tech-savvy SF, they of course had an online sign-up sheet via their website where you could also request a specific barber or not. You could check your place in line whenever you wanted and it was updated in real time. We checked the website which gave an approximate wait time of 60 minutes, so we decided to grab some lunch in the Embarcadero then sign-up on the way back. Suffice to say, the wait grew to 90 minutes an hour later, so we put his name down, customer # 40, and headed back to our hotel which was a few doors down from the shop to wait. A final check on the website had him at # 10 with the first 8 people requesting barbers. "Go down now!" I shouted. Good thing because they were already calling his name. THE SHOP: I saw about 10 or so chairs inside. My spouse was clean and ready to go within a half hour or less. Jerry did a good job. OVERALL: Easy sign in, fair pricing, good fade & cut.

Worst haircut I’ve had in 10 years. Randy clearly didn’t know how to do a fade and botched a simple shortening of the top hair. Instead of listening to my concerns, he dismissed them. I had to stop mid cut and walk down the street to find someone to help fix this mess. He also tried to raise his rate on me in real time because he knew it would take longer to fix his mistakes. The fact that other barbers down the street knew his name without me saying it when I said I got a botched cut at Joe’s speaks volumes. What a joke. I shouldn’t have paid for that haircut when it costed me a second one to fix it. Update: 1 hour later I receive a wildly inappropriate text from the barber. Screenshot attached.

Fantastic! The best haircut I've gotten in San Francisco. I got an excellent fade, good overall shaping, beard trim was perfect, and my mustache got spruced up too! Joe and his crew can make you look your best. Great location and wonderful space. I'm glad to be close by and will be a loyal customer!

This place deserves zero stars not even one!I got a haircut by Chelsie at Joe's barber. This is literally the worst haircut I ever had in my entire life! She really doesn't know how to cut hair. Really bad fade, the lengths on the top are not equal, and most of all... this is not the haircut I asked!! She also charged me 45$ dollar for that! It was a waste of my money and my time. If you want a good laugh check out the final haircut attached.

Cedrick. I am so sorry you did not get a good haircut. My phone number is on the website. Please give me a call and come back, and I will fix your haircut. Again, my apologies...
