Imagine getting the worst haircut you've had in years two days before one of the biggest milestones of your life. Giovanni was the one who cut my hair and he looked so damn uncertain the whole time he was cutting my hair I felt like if I even told him he cut my hair too short he would've cried. It was 70 dollars for a Supercuts mess. Such an expensive, awful haircut. I won't be coming again and I urge anyone looking for a new barber to go to literally anywhere else.

Been coming here for years, and everytime I come in it's been a positive experience. Great costumer service, and the barbers attention to detail is admirable. Giovanni has been cutting my hairs for years, and each time I see progress. His hard work is appreciated thank you Gio for your hard work!

I’ve gotten a lot of good haircuts here from a lot of good barbers over the last few years, but probably won’t ever go back. Watch out for David, he can be a pretty big jerk. He excoriated me for finishing a phone call before entering the store 5 minutes late, refused to accept my apology and then peppered me with veiled threats until I agreed to leave without a haircut. Didn’t matter he’d cut my hair two other times, didn’t matter that I’d never been late to any of my appointments across any of the barbers at JP before. My slight tardiness made him so angry that he preferred to lose business out of spite. I guess what I am saying is, if you’re looking for a barber to build a relationship with, you’re probably better off going elsewhere— and if not, you better be perfectly on time or David is gonna rip you a new one in front of everyone.

First time getting a haircut in SF. I based my choice on the good reviews and very easily l got an online appointment with David. I’m very satisfied, he was very patient with me and really took the time to understand what I wanted and he nailed it. Definitely coming back!

Best place to get a haircut in SF, the shop is super friendly and chill where anyone is allowed. Any barber at this shop will give you the haircut you want and will welcome you either with engaging conversations or silence if you're into that. Shorty is a great owner who employees people who are really wanting to make is as a barber and bends over backwards to make sure his employees are well taken care of. He is also a great leader in the community.

Impressed! Will go back. I went in for a quick neck trim without an appointment. Despite not having an appointment, with the place bustling, they fit me into their schedule promptly. The barber, William Kyle, did a great job (go see him!) Not only did they fit me in, but the staff was super nice and accommodating and the place has a great vibe. Amazing all round experience. Thanks JP Kempt!

I like this place, it has a nice atmosphere. I've been getting tapered haircuts from one of the apprentice barbers named London and he does a fine job. The manager and master barber Jourdan is also very knowledgeable. Keep up the good work!
