I recently moved back to the Bay Area and the prospect of finding a new barber felt intimidating to say the least. Luckily, I hit the mark with my first cut at Church. Lucas was on hand to give me a professional scissor cut that not only mirrored the reference photos I showed him from my last haircut in LA, but he actually improved upon the look. He pushed the envelope just enough to keep my look familiar yet opened the door to whats possible with future cuts. The man knew what he was doing! The shop has a clean layout with a modern-yet-warm vibe in a beautiful neighborhood. Step out the chair and walk around to show off your new cut indeed! Nothing but a positive experience, worth the trip over from Marin. If a fresh look is your religion, go say your prayers at Church.

I came in for the first time needing a haircut and not sure which style I wanted but with some ideas. I had to wait for 10-20 minutes after my appointment time to get started. Olivia had some suggestions on how to style it but she seemed quite hesitant and disinterested. I ordered a scissor cut (not exactly sure what style I wanted but I did come with ideas) and still got charged for that even though the cut ended up being 95% clippers. And after I paid and left a tip for her she just had her back to me while I left. The haircut was decent and I like the natural hair product š

I had an incredible experience at Church Barber & Apothecary. I haven't had a cut in a while and I booked an appointment with Jeanie online and explained that I was as trying to grow out my hair in a professional manner. I even showed her a picture of Jeremy Allen White in the Bear as a look I was aspiring to replicate. Jeanie nailed the haircut! She provided great tips on hair maintenance and advised me on a trim and cut schedule. I also purchased the Costal Cream hair product. The entire team at Church made me feel at home. I'm glad this shop is being supported by the community. If you need a barber shop with a great vibe and staff, this is your place.

First visit, I wanted something more special than I usually get. Brandon totally delivered! I was a bit vague in my own mind about what exactly I wanted after letting it grow for two years untouched, and I couldnāt be happier with the final result. Itās exactly right. š Pics are before/after

Much love to Lucas! He was a really nice dude and definitely knows what heās doing with hair. He blessed me up, I donāt think Iāve ever had a better fade! Also, the clay pomade product that they sell smells super good and it kept my hair texturized for a good while. Lucas is the goat, I can easily recommend him to anyone!

Wanted to give a review and shout out Brandon F. Heās cut my hair and beard for 2 years now. Complete professional, I always receive the most compliments on my hair, and his beard work is, I think, one of the best in the city. Not only that, but he volunteers his time to teach young barbers in the bay. Stand up guy. Highly recommend you book with him. I also think the Coastal CrĆØme Pomade is really nice, it smells good, gets the job done, and is natural.

I decided to try out Church as Iāve been growing my hair and wanted to go for a scissor cut instead of my usual tapers and fades. Jasmine took the time to consult with me and gave me the perfect cut. She was friendly, professional, and detail-oriented throughout. The price was a little higher than what Iāve paid elsewhere, but the quality of service and result made it absolutely worth it.

On a recent business trip to San Francisco, I found myself in need of a haircut. I hadn't had time to visit my usual barber before leaving home, and as someone who values looking sharp for crucial meetings, I was a bit apprehensive about finding a new place to trust with my hair. Enter Church Barber Shop, a hidden gem in the bustling heart of San Francisco. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the perfect blend of modern aesthetics and the quintessential barber shop vibe. The atmosphere was inviting, and you could feel the essence of San Francisco culture infused into every corner, from the decor to the music. My barber, Alex, truly made the experience seamless and enjoyable. Settling into the chair, I shared my concerns about trusting a new barber right before important meetings. Alex immediately put me at ease with his friendly demeanor and clear expertise. It's not just anyone who can interpret your needs and give you exactly the look you're aiming for, but Alex nailed it with precision and confidence. The attention to detail and level of craftsmanship displayed were nothing short of impressive. Alex took the time to ensure that every cut was perfect, blending my style with a touch of his own creative flair. Throughout the cut, he shared insights into the local culture, making the experience not just a haircut, but a true cultural immersion. The shop itself was a fusion of classic barber shop charm with modern, sleek lines ā a testament to its place within San Francisco's vibrant mix of old and new. Whether it's the community feel or the expertly curated aesthetics, Church Barber Shop captures the spirit of the city beautifully. Overall, I left not only with a fantastic haircut but also with a story to tell about a delightful San Francisco experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I cannot recommend Church Barber Shop and Alex enough. They have truly mastered the art of making you feel at home while providing top-tier service. If you're ever in town and needing a trim, make sure to book an appointment! You wonāt regret it.
