Got my hair cut today by Priscilla. She did an amazing job cutting my hair and gave me exactly what I’d asked for. She also cleaned the sides/neck old school style with a blade and gave a short hot towel face massage. Would definitely recommend coming here!!

Idk what all the one star reviews are about, they were professional and listened and gave a good cut and clean up. Is it what it used to be, no, but nothing is . Only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars was based on the friendliness of my barber . But if you don’t want to chat there is something to be said for that as well!

Terrible experience. Paid $55 for a bad haircut—they completely ignored the picture I showed (more hair on top, less on the sides) and gave me a uniform, military-style cut. When I went back to fix it, they tried to gaslight me instead of taking responsibility. Polite on the surface, but the quality doesn’t justify the price. Plus, they only accept cash. Never going back.

Had a haircut with Tim and will not go back again. The length of the hair on the left and right side is different by 1/8 inches. He can be nice during the haircut and tell you about his years of experience and how he loves playing golf, but the quality is terrible. I still do not understand how he could no see it when he was looking from the side. My first and last time here.

It’s very rare that I go out of my way to post a negative review about a place but wow, this was undeniably the worst hair cut I’ve ever had. The fade (which was hardly a fade) was patchy, the top of my hair was all scuffed and uneven, and I even had patches of hair sticking out of the sides. It was so bad that I had to run over my hair with a rotary electric shaver in my hotel room just to try and smooth out the uneven patches. For $50 I’d at least expect a presentable cut but I’m gonna take the L on this one and just let it grow back and go elsewhere. Shame because Tim is a nice guy but the quality of cut truly is awful.

Update: I think they've changed ownership and the experience has changed completely. I can't recommend this place any longer. If the one guy that cut my hair still works there, I'd give him 5 stars but he's not on their (now broken) website and I can't figure it out over the phone. Bummer. Barbers here are all very experienced. It's not spotty quality like other barber shops. They'll offer you a beer while you wait and there's a TV that's usually playing sports. Heads up though, it's cash only and a haircut is $44

I had reasonable expectations of this place due to recommendations. After finishing my cut, I was amazed how a man who claimed to have 25 years of experience, have no idea how to set up a proper cut. Tim has no real knowledge in regards to proportions, but he was a nice guy. Too bad, this is not a review for kindness and personality. One star, no doubt. FYI: They do not wash your hair.

Tim is great, he's a wonderful person and a skilled craftsman of folicular artistry. I recommend this place strongly, they also offered me a cold draft brew as a nice gift at the end of my workday. The owner Mr. Brogan and Jericho are also very personable and it's a great team they have. Good vibes all around!

So I've been here twice, and I liked my first haircut, but my second experience was absolutely terrible. I walked in and was greeted, waited about 10 minutes until the barber came over and sat me down in the chair. I said I made an appointment for a haircut and a shave, the barber seemed confused. He starts cutting my hair but in a very hesitant and rushed manner, not paying attention to details. Then a customer walks in and my barber completely stops cutting my hair to chat with him. Within 2 minutes, I was told to switch over to another barber. The new barber said she only had me in for a shave(I guess she wasn't paying much attention on the phone when I called), and she didn't have time to cut my hair. At that point, I was pretty pissed. I told her what kind of haircut I wanted, but she didn't listen at all. The owner came over and said he was going to sort out my appointment(he was the only friendly person in the shop). The barber just went with a style that was she was most comfortable with, rather than the style I asked for, and then she started shaving. The only positive experience that day was the shave. She definitely did a great job with that, and that's why I'm not giving a 1 star review. Overall if you want good customer service, only talk to the owner and not the other barbers. They're pretty rude and don't care much about their customers. Not sure if I'll come back.

Sick and tired of wasting your hard earned money at a salon that charges $100+ for a simple cut? Want to get your hair cut at a place that you look forward to catching up with the people around you? Look no further, Brogan and Son is THE place to go for great cuts by pros without all of the BS found at other locations in the Financial District. Aidan and his team are top notch. Been getting my haircut by Emily now for years and from the first time I walked in she did a great job. Aidan's support of local non-profit organizations makes me feel great about the type of people that work at his Barber Shop. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
