Allan is a great barber. He set me up right and spent the time needed on my hair. Slightly pricier but I’m more satisfied with the cut too so 🤷♂️

My go-to-barber in SF. The owner is super kind and well travelled. I have never been disappointed here. The haircut has gotten pricey (~40$) but everything in SF is pricey.

The prices have gone up and up since they opened. Originally a great no frills spot, you got a haircut worth $40. Fast with a buzz and scissor cut, nothing fancy with fades or styling. I used to like coming here because the owner Ruth told me once that she wants to offer good quality at a good price. And they definitely were a good price, especially compared to other alternative in the city. But now you can tell they are going for speed to maximize profit. Pics from a year ago showing $28 for a cut are no longer accurate. Early 2024 it was $35, and my last cut in Oct it was $39, which was reasonable, now it’s $45 before tip. The signs inside still shows $39. But for a mediocre 20 minute haircut, this is no longer a good value or worth going to. I’d rather go back to my old barber who is $70 after tip but takes an hour and gives my hair good style.

My husband and I went this morning and both got our hair cut! I was a little hesitant because it seemed more of a barber shop, but Ruth cut my hair and I love it! My husband’s cut (done by someone else at the same time) was also very well done. Would highly recommend, especially since we were charged $75 for both!
