*Update 1/26/26 is hopeful since they agreed to have me come back next week to make up for it* Google Level 7 Manager here: I would NOT risk my status unless this were completely true. LADY COMPLETELY IGNORED ALL FOUR THINGS I TOLD HER and gave me a super bad hair cut 😠 I just wanted a basic Supercuts haircut while supporting local. BUT instead she cut off BOTH my sideburns that used to go down to my ear without even asking then faded my neckline down to zero when I said to keep a straight line on the back. Plus a bunch of other things like cutting a full half inch away from the rounded part of my ear down to zero when I specially said to keep it “as close as possible” to the ear. Many would call this a style popular in the Mexican community which I totally respect and actually think it looks great on some people but I did not ask for it! 😔 She then ignored the request to hand cut the top and left a bunch of splits ends. It’s my opinion that she kept me facing away from the mirror and kept laughing with small talk and questions to disguise things. It’s sad though because I said I know her business neighbors and my nephew comes here and still something in the air was off. I’ve gotten cuts at Geo’s and other similar shops nearby all the time but have never gotten such a bad hair cut like this. After a full day of thinking how to give them a second chance I just can’t bring myself to go back in spite of it all 🙁 I probably should have asked them for a refund on the spot but I didn’t want to make a scene. I hope they politely refund me remotely so I can adjust my review. *Btw, this picture is AFTER I asked her to TRY and correct what she did.. very awkward to have to even ask and for not ONE but FOUR things

For real, Uppercuts 909 Barbershop is one of those places you walk out of feeling good about yourself. Miellenia is incredibly patient, super chill, and clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. Especially with sidelocks. I don’t know what kind of magic she has, but my sidelocks have never behaved this well. She takes her time, actually listens, and makes sure everything looks right before you get out of the chair. No rushing, no guesswork. The price is also very fair for the quality you get. Honestly, asking for a refund here wouldn’t even cross your mind. If you’re picky about your hair (or your sidelocks), this is the place. Clean cuts, good vibes, and someone who genuinely cares about the result. Highly recommend.

About 6 months ago, I was looking for a local haircut spot in Pomona. I came across Uppercuts and scheduled a cut with Camila. It's safe to say I've now become a regular with her. She cuts my hair exactly how I want it done every time. Her customer service is amazing, and we always have the best conversations. She's funny too. It's always a great experience. I definitely recommend Uppercuts for their professionalism and reasonable prices. Book with Camila, and you won't be disappointed.

Uppercuts 909 is a solid old school style barbershop that everybody is cool with each other. You get conversations happening across chairs (if you want) or you just sit back and relax knowing you're going to get a great cut. All of the barbers are friendly, welcoming, and talented. I felt at home the first time I visited.

Miel has been amazing with my son who was diagnosed with Autism. My son has a hard time with behaviors due to the noise of the machines but Miel has been so patient, supportive, and helpful.

Went in last weekend because my boy was in need of haircut BAAAAD. First time here, plenty of parking as well. So we walk in and Miellenia was available and she hooked up my boy just right. Was surprised he liked it cus he's picky about his hair. He might of found his go to barber. Highly recommend Miellenia if you want your hair done right

Uppercuts is the best barbershop i’ve been to. My 3 boys and my husband get their hair cut every 2 weeks with Miellenia who is so patient and knows how to work with kids! She always makes our haircut days quick and stress free, I highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Emanuel for my haircuts and he’s truly amazing. He’s not only very skilled at what he does, but also a genuinely nice person who makes you feel comfortable every time. He takes his time, listens to what you want, and always makes sure you leave happy with your haircut. The atmosphere in the shop is great too—everyone there is friendly, welcoming, and professional. I always enjoy my visits and highly recommend Emanuel and the whole team!

Manny has been my barber for about 6 years now. He always gets me right with a cut, a beard lineup, and a great time. He takes pride in his work and I appreciate whenever he does a good job. Thank you Manny for taking care of me and making me look good.
