Dropped in for a quick cut, and got the most amazing haircut of my life. If you want a serious barber to perform a serious cut come to this shop. The owner has been cutting hair for 60 years and has been in that location for over 40 years. $30 for a men's haircut is a steal! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at this barber. He is a character, but knows what he is doing. I live in New York, but sometimes wait to get my haircut until I travel to Palo Alto for business so I can come to this place.

Proprietor is an older gentleman. After asking how I wanted it cut, he completely ignored my length instructions and cut my hair way too short. I’m not enlisting in the army and didn’t want a buzz cut. I was shocked at the result; one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. Accepts only cash (in this day and age?).

I had a great experience at Cardinal Barber Shop today. The shop has a a true grassroots, classic barbershop atmosphere. Gerardo, the barber, was incredibly welcoming and chatty throughout the haircut, making the entire visit enjoyable. He really takes his time to ensure everything is fine and understood the style I wanted. He absolutely nails classic male haircuts! You can tell he’s passionate and well-experienced about what he does. Just a heads-up, it’s cash-only, so be prepared. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the cut I got from Gerardo and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch, traditional barber experience near Stanford!

I had an exceptional experience at the hair salon today. The owner, with more than 15 years of experience, was ready to close at 5 pm, but kindly agreed to give me a haircut anyway. The result was a superb cut, exactly like the one I showed in the picture. I highly recommend this salon — it's even better than some of the places I've visited in Paris, haha

Hands down the best barber in the area. Very thoughtful and spends enough time on each customer, unlike all other barbers I've been to in the area. Had a 30 minute wait on a weekday morning, so plan accordingly. Very reasonable price (30$) for a haircut.

I was able to walk in and though I had to wait a bit (there were a few others in front), it was well worth the wait. The barber was a warm old Hispanic gentleman who gave me an excellent fade with no fuss, and made me feel welcome and like a regular. The price was only $30, the quality was what you can get for $50 at other places. Can’t recommend this place enough and I plan to come here for my cuts from now on.
