Ray did a great job on my hair and beard. I like the atmosphere of the place. Friendly, approachable, good conversation. Easy, safe parking along Bryant Street or in the parking garage. 10 min drive or 5 min on Bart from Rockridge. Good location, near restaurants and other shops. Looking forward to returning.

Started going to Silver Fox Barber Co a few months ago since moving to Orinda - cut by James. Extremely happy with the cut and the service. James is a great guy and made me feel very comfortable. I’ll be coming back to James for as long as I live in the area from now on! Highly recommend.

Silver Fox and Dave specifically are categorically best in class across services: haircut, beardtrim, shave, etc. He takes the time to consult with new and existing clients and has helped me navigate various hairstyles over the years. You won’t find anyone better, and more fairly priced for the service provided. Dave is very professional.

James is a highly skilled barber with exceptional attention to detail. He takes his time, ensuring nothing feels rushed. I have Asian hair, and in the past many barbers have just relied on clippers, which left my hair looking flat and boxy. Silver Fox is simply the best haircut in the Bay. I tried different barbershops/barbers for a few years before I landed with Dave. I've been going to him since he worked at People's in Oakland. He was good back then, but now he owns his own shop and gets to take his time and truly give everyone the experience they come to expect from a high end barber shop, which by the way, is clean and well maintained. Now, his shop cannot be beat. He takes his time, and takes pride in his work, and his tools, regularly having his Japanese made sheers professionally sharpened. Shampoo, hot scented towel/face massage, straight razor neck shave, blow-dry, and style after the cut. Best of all, he is still willing to take criticism and improve the cut every time, even if you've been going to him for years, like I have. If you were on the fence about booking, or maybe needing to break up with your current barber, or don't have a consistent one yet, do yourself a favor and just book Silver Fox and stop looking like a dingus with that sloppy cut you've been getting before!

Highly recommend Dave the Silver Fox. His skill and attention to detail with both haircut and beard trim are top notch. He’s punctual, scheduling through the website is seamless, and he makes the whole experience stress-free. The shop itself has great music and a relaxing atmosphere. A top notch barber 💈 in a top notch new location! Dave has been my barber for a while now and he has recently moved his shop from Rockridge to Orinda. The cut is ALWAYS good and the new location has free parking and some excellent food nearby. 5 stars all the way around.
