Wow. Niño is awesome. He's super nice. He pays attention to detail, and seems proud of his work. He wasn't just a haircut. He was and experience. He's got great positive energy too. I definitely recommend him. He's worth every penny. And the establishment itself. I'm a happy guy for having comed here. Update: They did it again. I guess everyone at this place is great. I got a haircut from Nemesis! She was absolutely great. She has a comforting touch in her hands. She's very gentle and accommodating. Good conversation too. I'm so happy I found this place. I look forward to haircuts at least once per month. You gotta appreciate the service that you get for a premium service. I sure do. Thank you Nemesis and team MBR.

Modern barbershop isn’t just a place to get a haircut—it’s a whole experience. You walk in looking like a stressed-out caveman and walk out like a Greek god ready to conquer the world. David’s scissors are like magic wands, and his chair? It’s basically therapy with a fresh fade. The conversations are top-tier too—you’ll leave with a sharp cut and a new outlook on life. If you haven’t been to Modern, what are you even doing with your hair? Ive gotten hair cuts from David, Myron, Andrew and Jason. Highly recommend.

I've been searching for a barber shop I could really enjoy and want to return to consistently, and I'm thrilled to have found this place. I've been coming here for the past few months, and I can confidently say that it's the best barber shop I've experienced recently. The shop itself is impeccably clean, and the attention to detail is evident in everything they do. Everyone here is genuinely kind and welcoming, making each visit a pleasure. David, who runs the shop, is particularly nice and always ensures that everything is running smoothly. A special shoutout to Jason and Nemesis, both of whom have cut my hair. They're not only skilled but also incredibly friendly, taking the time to make sure I'm happy with the cut every time. Overall, this place has a great vibe, and I look forward to every visit. If you're looking for a barber shop that combines excellent service with a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Daniel did a great job cutting my hair. The service was very meticulous and not rushed at all, even though it was a relatively simple cut. For the price that I paid I think the quality of service far exceeded it. I have been getting my hair cut by a friend who is very skilled and always takes extra good care of me, so I set my expectations low and was still ready to be disappointed, but Daniel pleasantly surprised me. I will be back!

Been getting my cut from David at Modern Barber Room since 2014. 10 years with David tells you a great deal about his skills and professionalism as a barber. That’s why I keep going back. On top of that, he’s super chill, makes good conversation, is accommodating and makes you feel like family. As a matter of fact, the whole shop is a vibe - from the modern look, cleanliness, other dope barbers, and music - there’s a reason this shop is always busy. Everyone gives fresh cuts at this shop, and you will always leave feeling satisfied. Theres never a dull moment here. Oh and they also take walk-ins which is always a plus. 5 stars and will always recommend Modern Barber Room.

This has become our favorite barbershop! We met Nemesis at a school event where she was providing free haircuts for the kids. My son loved her work, since then we've been coming from Santa Clarita to get his haircut.

Got my haircut yesterday, asked for a low fade and got a high fade. It’s squared off at the top because he faded it too high. Used a straight razor on the back of my neck and it’s a straight line across a good 1/2 inch above my hairline, no blend or anything. I would’ve just left it as a bad cut and not gone back, but writing a review because I woke up with red bumps all on the back of my head and neck, not razor burn. Heard good things and the people are nice, but can’t recommend this spot to anyone honestly. Straight wearing a hoodie in this heat for now

Andrew was super solid. One of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Very knowledgeable and great conversation. I’d travel an hour plus for this cut. I’ll be back!

Been going to Modern Barber Room ever since they opened, all the barbers are skilled and very friendly. The online appointment system is very convenient, because there are no wait times like other barber shops. Overall the best haircut experience there is in LA.
