Horrible barber shop! I specifically called right before going in today and said if I make it in by 12:30 inside the door they would attend me and I got there exactly at 12! And they said they couldn't cut me anymore! Completely unprofessional and extremely rude! I drove over a hour to get a haircut and they still had NO SYMPATHY, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Even though I did exactly what they asked me for ti be there before 12:30 so if u reply with your excuses it's Completely unacceptable you lied and maid me waste my gas there was ONLY 2 customers waiting and many barbers to help me out!!!

Finally found the perfect barbershop for the boys !! Their work is fire and their pricing is worth it! We looked for years before we found the right spot . Boys have been coming here for sometime now . All the barbers are amazing and do great work!

I came here last minute almost 35 minutes before they close. The barbers were very busy, but fortunately one of them was open to take me in at the last minute. That guy saved my life thank you so much to redemption barbershop

Been coming here for many years. I have seen so many old faces and new faces, but I always comeback because even when they do a "bad" job it's not even close to bad. Usually my fault for not conveying what I want and because I don't have 1 go-to barber there. I come in wait first person that's available and done. It's to the point where I drive nearly 2 hours just for a simple haircut. Keep up the good work guys.

My go to… I don’t go anywhere else! U can pretty much sit in any chair and get hooked up proper. Drew dowwwn is my go to tho.. he’s the only barber that actually cuts my hair the way I want it! I went to at least 10 different barber shops and they effff my hair up every time! Redemption the real GOATS HANDS DOWN

I rate it a 3 stars just because it's not for me. I used to live in Montclair years ago and thought this place was nice because they would massage your head with a warm towel and sprayed lotion on your head; now I see it's way overpriced compared to other hair salons and barbershops where I can get a good regular cut for $20 with tip. This place is more for like Chicano "greasers" and those eccentric hairstyles with buzz cut designs and shapes. If this is your type of barbershop and don't mind paying over 25$ for a haircut and wait like 15+ minutes then this place is for you.

DON’T GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!!!!!! I’ve been coming to this shop for about 8 months. Gotten my hair cut by a few of the barbers. The young lady that cuts in the chair closest to the door, is super sweet and really nice. However dealing with Andrew twice has now caused me to leave and never come back. The first time I dealt with him, he put his cousin in front of me(I made an appointment), who didn’t have an appointment. How do I know? He told me as he was cutting my hair. The second time, I had an appointment, I waited and he put someone else in front of me again. Don’t go here! The owner doesn’t keep his people in line. It’s a family operation so your complaints will fall on deaf ears.

This barber shop just lost a loyal customer on October 19 due to the business not respecting the appointment for a haircut that I had set for my son. I had waited 15 minutes after the set time when deciding that it was time to leave. This coming after a visit the night before, when we waited close to two hours and none of the barbers got to my son! If Jimmy (owner of the shop) reads this, I would suggest that he contact me ASAP. I would appreciate a recommendation to another local barber shop that is just starting or needs more customers. Also, I noticed that "Andrew R." one the barbers there, thought that my Yelp review was "funny". Very unprofessional!

I started getting cut at Royal Barbers when they were a new shop. I have seen barbers come and go and I have received haircuts from many of them. I have never had a bad haircut here. Andrew, PJ, Javier, Chris, and Jimmy (all current barbers) have cut my hair with no problems ever.

The location is great the owner is down to earth but in reality the place is always shorthanded and there's always long waiting times sometimes well over an hour I suggest anyone that is planning on going here calling first and setting up an appointment or you will screw yourself like I have done way to many times. It just seems the owner always short hands the amount of people working if it's the weekend or weekdays. Which only affects the customers when they have to wait longer-than-expected times and forced to leave. My question is how does a business owner prophet having Barbers that take over an hour and a half with one customer as well...
