An unfortunately terrible experience with one of the barbers, who was very rude and uptight from the moment I said hello. My first time at this shop was great, which is why I returned - but this second one was just awful. I was trying to explain what I wanted but he kept rushing me to sit down and let him begin. Mind you, I set an appointment - this was not a walk-in. I have experienced such bully tactics before, where they barely do the job and ask for an unreasonable amount (in my case, $60 for a terrible fade). On top of that, an adjacent barber made perverted jokes throughout the session, which was quite discomforting. I do not recommend this place, as there seem to be some managerial issues (and other elephants in the room) that fuel such tension among the barbers...

Walked in for a clean up around the sides of my head. It took about 25 minutes and I was charged 60 dollars. When I got to work, a friend pointed out my side burns were different lengths. I would not come back here.

Great barbershop with great banter. The atmosphere here is awesome and everyone is very friendly. All of the workers have great senses of humor and provide an exceptional barbershop experience.

My boy Vince has been fading me up real nice for about seven years now. I followed him when he left his old spot and I have to say he makes me feel younger and younger and my wife loves my clean looks. His fade skills are off the chain he can do a bald fade, a mid fade, a taper fade, you name it. He’s got it. The Barber has skills like no other. I really have appreciated getting to know him all these years, he travels all over the place and we love talking about those stories, hearing about his stakes and his family has been really amazing. If you want fresh clean, you know where to go.

Great barbers and great atmosphere. I've had a few different barbers but recently Mitch has been my guy. Always extremely happy with my cut. It's pricier than your Great Clips, but you're guaranteed a fresh, super clean cut. That's totally worth it for me.

Ray is absolutely the best! He squeezed us in last minute for a toddler haircut and it looks amazing! He is the ONLY person who has not butchered our son's hair and our two year old is now picture ready for our family pictures. Ray is phenomenal with children and made our son feel so comfortable as he got his haircut. Our son has never let anyone use clippers or sat still long enough to get a quality haircut. Ray worked his magic and our son made huge progress with no tears, sat still, and let Ray use clippers on him. Thank you Ray! We will definitely be back and next time doing a father son haircut.

This has been my favorite barbershop of all time. I made my first visit here about a couple months after it opened. Austin sure knows how to give a top-notch cut, straight and clean. I have been going since I was 12, maybe 13 and am 19 now. Sam, Ray, and the whole team will make you laugh so hard during the time you’re here. Having moved away to college, I will really miss this place, but when I do come back at times to visit, I would sure like to get a haircut here.

It’s my husbands new barber shop! He goes like once a month and always comes home happy with their service. The first time he went he had a someone who made him look super fly. Yesterday, Juan did his cut and he came home looking younger! Seems everyone who cuts there is skilled in their own way. Thank you for being there :) now I just need to find a place that’s good at women’s hair, which is not an easy task!

I hesitated to come to Menlo Park Barber Shop due to the negative reviews about the price and value of the haircuts. However, my experience showed those reviews are wrong. Austin gave me one of the best haircuts of my life. He was great to talk to and took his time to provide excellent service. I'll be going back.

Beyond Outstanding in every imaginable way! I’ve been coming to Sam Valero’s barber shop ever since he opened. Prior to his shop he was at doing superior hair styling at the “Golden Shears” also in Menlo Park. I started going there in 1974 and have never let anyone else style my hair. All of the barbers in the Menlo Park Barber Shop are real guys with wonderful personalities. For me they are like brothers and we laugh and joke and discuss life events and our own families. A true wonderful fun time. Most sincerely... Harry
