I've been getting my hair cut by Alex for a couple years and couldn't be happier. He's great at what he does and super professional. Finding a great barber is hard and it's been such a relief to have someone who know's what I like and gives great service every time. Everyone in the shop is super welcoming and they nailed the vibe of both being relaxed and laid back while running a tight ship. I own a business down the street and most of our staff gets their hair cut at Proper. Great place and great team. Shout out to Alex!

Great cuts when you can get them. But their booking process is antiquated and unreliable. The last two appointments I made were canceled with less than an hour notice. I won't be returning.

Warm, courteous staff (even that time I was really late—sorry!) dispensing impeccable, fresh, and consistent cuts. Jeff is my guy here and he’s great, but the other barbers do strong work too. Highly recommended.

I walked in and asked the room, can you do a good job with my particular hair, I had grown it out for six months, and it’s curly wavy, and I wanted a cleanup and enhancement to let it grow in better. I showed pictures. The staff said absolutely!! We will hook you up. I made an appointment. I was booked with whoever they thought suited me… flash forward, my haircut not only was a hack job, inches cut off, and so uneven, one side of my head was inches longer, like prince and the revolution longer. I was told by the barber as I was getting it cut that I should really go to a salon but he’d do his best (I should have gotten right up and left but I trusted them) His best was a butcher job that leaves me at home trying to even my hair and cut the layers, further cutting growth I had patiently waited for for half a year. At least this helps a bit with this poodle-like mess. He clearly knew NOTHING about how to cut curly hair correctly to make a shape. I had like a 1980’s bilevel on my head. The staffs response was, maybe he’d be willing to even it out, and we will too for another price of a 45$ haircut. Such pompous incompetence. Big NOPE! Nothing proper here, just sales lies. Fantastic Sam’s might hold themselves to a higher standard,

We’ve been coming to this place for a recommendation of a friend but the quality on our personal job keeps getting worse. Yesterday we went to the appointment and it was faster than usual (around 20 min in total) and the result is clearly bad… we won’t come back again !!! It’s a shame to lose time and money in a poor treat and job.

Place has curated an excellent environment with interesting decor and high-quality barbers. I’ve worked with 3 different guys there and all of my cuts there have been great. Recently got my cut from Chris who listens to your needs and made conversation easy. No shortage of curious wall decorations to get lost in if the conversation lulls during your cut. One of the other men getting a cut while I was there was being fussy and a PITA to one of the other barbers and, despite the difficult customer, the barber kept his cool and was kind and understanding. Very professional place.

Amazing barber and barbershop. I just got the best haircut and beard trim ever! Thank you ! Notes: 1- booking in advance is the way to go. 2- the atmosphere is phenomenal and the place is clean. 3- tell them what do you want to do when you call to book your appointment. 4- parking off the street could a challenging.
