After waiting for 30 minutes beyond when I appointment was scheduled for, I asked when I was going to be seen and Denise finished that haircut almost immediately after I asked. Sorry to whoever that guy was. I then explained what I wanted and what my end goal is for my hair, as I’ve done at many other places. Denise then decided to take this opportunity to talk down to me about my hair, like I haven’t had it my whole life, and said “some people just have trouble committing to it.” Thankfully she convinced me not to get a haircut, not because of her advice but because it felt like she has no idea what she is doing. Based on other reviews it sounds like that would’ve been the case.

The worst haircut ever. I asked for a simple men's haircut like image 1 but it turned out it was like image 2 and3. That wasn’t what I asked for at all that I showed them. Sideburns are especially terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this barbershop unless you want your hair ruined.

I always get my haircut from Ginger, and she is absolutely the best. Oakley’s Barber Shop is legendary, historic, and offers incredible value for money. The quality of service is consistently top-notch, and every visit leaves me extremely satisfied. Highly professional, welcoming, and reliable every single time.

Clinton at Oakley's is really friendly and professional. I've curly hair and a lot of barbers in the past would mess them up but coming to Oakley's has changed that and I am a regular client now.

UCLA student here, had been here twice and Ginger has been doing my hair great both times. Asian female hair. Also they got a student discount and after comparing 4 barber places in Westwood this is the best option.

I went to Oakley's earlier this week at the recommendation of one of my classmates as well as the numerous positive reviews on Reddit. They did not dissapoint! Clinton was congenial and extremely courteous - I highly highly recommend Oakley's if you're in the area. Two key points I'd like to add is to either bring cash or be ready to withdraw from the ATM in the store as well as schedule in advance. Spots are filled pretty quick so be sure to schedule a few days in advance.

Lizzy is by far the best barber I’ve ever had the pleasure of cutting my hair. As an international student at UCLA, I’ve tried several barbershops, and honestly, nothing compares to the price and quality here, especially for men’s skin fades. The student discount is a lifesaver for people like me who need a fresh cut every month but don’t want to spend $50+ just to keep the sides clean. On top of that, Lizzy is super friendly and easy to talk to, always down for a quick chat while also making sure she understands exactly what you want for your haircut. I’m really sad to be leaving campus, but so grateful to have had the best service for almost two years now :))

Great barber shop, Lizzy provided a very enjoyable experience from start to finish and all points in between. It was my first trip there, and it was unplanned, I was a walk-in. Lizzy my barber and did awesome job on beard trim. I would definitely return and recommend Lizzy as a barber 💈 and I would recommend the shop to others.
