Went to Larchmont Barbers on Fairfax today for the first time since my usual spot (Floyd’s) was closed, and I’m really glad I did. Booking the appointment online was super easy, and they took me right away as soon as I walked in. The shop was clean and had a great vibe. Josue was my barber—friendly, professional, and clearly skilled. He gave me a great haircut and finished it off with a very relaxing straight razor shave. The haircut was $45 and absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Overall, a really solid first visit. I’d definitely come back again and would recommend Josue to anyone looking for a great cut.

Staff are not friendly at all and seem genuinely surprised when I walked in the door, even though I had an appointment. I came in ~5m late for my appointment (took a while to find a parking spot) and was told quite rudely that I would need to reschedule because 'someone else is coming in 15m'... The people in the shop don't seem to care much about the business at all - the shop was dead-empty on a Sunday afternoon with only 2 gents working there. Would not be surprised if this place gets shut down on account of money laundering... I have no idea how they make enough money to even pay the rent.

I was happy when this place opened because it was so close to my neighborhood and I love a classic barber shop. But I've given up after months of inconsistent haircuts. They never seemed to listen to what I asked for, and for whatever reason, they just aren't that friendly. And even though I'd make appointments, they always act surprised when I'd show up. The last time I went, I asked for a clean-up, which is listed as $15 on their menu. Dude cut my hair for barely five minutes and asked for $45. I said, "the clean-up is $15." He smiled and said, "Oh, I didn't give you a clean-up, a clean-up is different." I felt really, really uncomfortable and didn't want to argue so I just handed him $45 and left, knowing I'd never go back. If that sounds like a great time to you, definitely check it out I guess.

I do not like giving bad reviews because I know that people make mistakes but when you correct them right away is when and what it counts. The guy there over charged me for a beard trimming and it was horribly done. One side lower then the other. Use the knife when I told him not to do it and when I told him about it. His answer was “well we both saw it here” I got home and I couldn’t believe I paid so much and now I had to shave my beard completely. He was like. I will do it for free next time. You do not offer that. You offer to mend the mistake in the moment. Not in the future. Too bad. They had a bad attitude.

Worst undercut I’ve ever gotten. Took twice as long as my normal barber. Even asking for it shorter, was still way too long. The barber trimmed part of my beard without asking. And then didn’t put any product in it. Luckily I was going home right away, because he didn’t put any product in it, and a much too long undercut with no product looks pretty bad.

Comfortably the worst haircut I've had as an adult at least. It's a lovely old school barber shop - nearly 100 years old - but let down by rushed and not particularly friendly service. The guy I had did not listen at all and then did the opposite of what I had asked him to. I could have done a better job with nail scissors. Avoid.
