This wasn’t my first time at a Floyd’s, and I’ve never had an issue before. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. I asked for a shoulder-length cut, below the collar, with layers. When the stylist turned me around for the final look, I immediately noticed it was much shorter than what I requested. I mentioned that it looked too short, and she tried to convince me it was shoulder-length. I went in with long hair and walked out with a bob. I still tipped her, because I’m not a confrontational or mean person, and I know better than to address something when I’m upset. After leaving and calming down, I called the shop to explain that I was very unhappy with the haircut. To their credit, they were understanding and refunded my service cost (minus the cash tip, which I expected). When I returned to receive the refund, the stylist who cut my hair was behind the counter. She didn’t acknowledge me at all—no apology, no recognition, not even a brief expression of understanding for the mistake. I appreciate that management handled the refund professionally, but the lack of accountability and basic courtesy from the stylist left a bad impression. Needless to say, I won’t be returning. Edit- because you returned the money I paid, responded, and because my original one star was probably driven more by my emotions, I’m raising the rating to 3 stars.

Exceptional Service at Floyd's Barbershop with Stylist Kai I recently visited Floyd's Barbershop and had the pleasure of being styled by Kai. I opted for a Floyd's cut, beard trim, and eyebrow wax, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Kai's expertise and attention to detail were evident from the start, ensuring each service was executed to perfection. The haircut was sharp and stylish, tailored exactly to my preferences. The beard trim left me looking well-groomed and fresh, with clean lines and a polished finish. Additionally, the eyebrow wax was meticulously done, enhancing my overall appearance without being overly dramatic. What truly sets Floyd's apart, aside from their talented staff like Kai, is the convenience. The location, scheduling process, and overall atmosphere make it easy and enjoyable to fit into my routine. I highly recommend Floyd's Barbershop and particularly Stylist Kai for anyone seeking top-notch grooming services. This will definitely be my go-to spot moving forward!

Really liked getting my haircut done by my hairstylist he was very professional very kind very suggestive and just very fun to talk to while cutting my hair. It just felt like a very good vibe and I just happen to make a reservation the day before so I’m glad I was able to get great service. Definitely look forward to going back.

About 2 weeks ago I trimmed and ruined my bangs after trying to grow to one length for 2 years. I had an appointment with Leandro and it ended up worse. I complained and the Mgr arranged an appointment with Rochelle. Thanx to Rochelle I'm thankful for her work, and I now have a new stylist only blocks away. Happy thanksgiving 🦃

I called last minute with a serious hair emergency due to me trying to take matters into my own hands and Rachelle was able to take me in and was kind enough to redo my hair and fix my disastrous hair. Took forever and costed me an arm and a leg but she nailed it and was a miracle worker. 🙏 I will definitely return to her the next time I am feeling the need to do my hair and let her do it instead and save money. She was super fun and all cool vibes and knows her stuff. 😎

Floyd’s Hollywood has a great stylist by the name of Celeste. If you want a very precise and well sculpted Mohawk she’s excellent at the style.

Charlie was so nice and professional. He’s like an uncertified therapist. Just really relatable guy. I felt like we immediately hit it off. My haircut looks amazing. Bald fade looks great all the way to skin. Cool location, right in the heart of Hollywood.Nice vibe there. Highly recommend.

I have gone here 4 different times and gotten 4 different barbers, and every single time without fair they completely butcher my hair. I come in with below the ear, almost shoulder length, mid-long length hair, and show pictures of the length and styles I want, and without fair every time they cut off almost all of my hair, I will ask for mid ear length styles (think timothee chalamet in dune length) and by the end of the hair cut, they have somehow given me something closer to a fringe haircut with super super short sides. my hair is completely ruined after i get a haircut, and I have kept trying to go back hoping it will be different with a different barber. This most recent cut, has set me back at least 6 months worth of length that I did not want cut, and expressly stated as much. Once, I even came in and showed pictures of my own hair, 1 day after my previous haircut, and said "just try and do this, but longer" and I left with hair considerably shorter than what my own head had in the photos. If you are someone who wants mid/long length styles, I would never in 100 years recommend you come here.

I am upset with how my sons haircut came out. I came out here from Las Vegas and was excited to get his haircut out here in LA. I asked this lady (forgot name) to trim his hair because I didnt want his curls gone and to give him a little fade on the side by his ears. She buzzed off all his curls on the side and back. I even asked her to do a line up but stopped her because she was about to cut ALL his baby hairs off and push his hairline back. His hair is very uneven and she didnt even trim the top with scissors. Im more sad than upset. I'll add photos of his haircut he got almost a year ago(in his carseat) and a before photo of his hair a few hours before his haircut and a photo the day after(sept. 22) he got his haircut from going here on September 21, 2025
