Horrible experience — do yourself a favor and stay away. The barber, who claimed to be “highly experienced” with years in the industry, completely butchered my son’s haircut. My son clearly asked for a #12 guard buzz cut. Instead, the barber immediately began cutting his hair with scissors all over his head, which was not what was requested. When I noticed what he was doing, I asked him to stop — he continued cutting anyway. It wasn’t until I raised my voice that he finally stopped and tried to justify his actions by saying it was “what my son asked for.” My son corrected him and made it clear he asked for a #12 guard buzz cut, not a scissor cut. The lineup was also extremely poorly done — uneven and sloppy. When I approached the owner, instead of taking responsibility, he defended the barber, saying that next time we should bring a picture to avoid confusion. He then doubled down by insisting the barber was “very experienced” and knew what he was doing. If someone is truly experienced, they should know exactly what a #12 guard buzz cut is — and they should absolutely listen to the client. This haircut looked nothing like what was requested. Between the barber ignoring clear instructions and the owner refusing to take accountability, this place showed a complete lack of professionalism. I would not trust them with a haircut, I strongly recommend going elsewhere!

I’m from the OC but I work locally in the area. I was on a tight time crunch and needed a cut asap. Although there were tons of barbershops closer to USC area, they all lacked decent customer service. Either got hit with some snobby attitude or brain rot response. Evolution answered within the first ring, were willing to fit me in prior to close but were honest about the current wait. Hadn’t eaten all day and the only lady cutting hair (sorry I didn’t grab your name) kindly offered me to use the break room to eat the food I got across the street while I waited. I got tended to faster than expected but they let me finish up first (I sped through). Then got cut up by my man Manny. Manny gave me A1 service I haven’t seen in a long minute, cut up my hair in half the time, left me looking twice as good as my other cuts prior. You guys remember those barber scenes from the movies back in the day? Exactly how it felt like, true staple. I’ll be getting my cuts here in LA at Evolution with Manny from now on, hidden gem right here.

Been going to evolution since they opened up a couple years back. Been cutting my hair most of life with Jairo and never upsets. Always recommend all my friends to check out the shop easy parking in the back. Won a shirt of a raffle as well.

I have being around trying so many barbershops for my son haircuts…but since a few years back…Jairo has done the impossible to comply with all my sons haircuts styles…just wanted to thank Jairo thru this media and tell everyone if you decide to give him a try l promise you won’t regret it…thanks Jairo…

Always a great atmosphere, they take great care of their clients, they never disappoint! I always leave overly satisfied with my cut!! Highly recommend if you haven’t been here before!

Went in on 4/18 had made an appointment at 12:15 with “Juan”. I walk in at 12 and there’s two people waiting for cuts and there are two barbers. The two people in front me get attended first, by this time it’s already 1pm, There was nobody there waiting but me and then someone walks in and the other gentlemen cutting hair finishes and says that the other guy has me next and takes the person who just walked in. So after the other gentleman is finished with the guy that was before me he just disappears to the back and after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting I just had to leave , place is only good if you’re a regular horrible service can’t even own up to me having an appointment might Aswell not even use them .

Great place, the cut was alright, the down side is that my line up got pushed way too high now I gotta wait for my hair to grow back

Great barber shop, really clean and big. The best part is the attention to the customer. Erick cut my hair and he was fully professional and friendly. He clearly cared about ensuring that the customer got a good experience. Very fun to talk to as well. I have had my haircuts only from supercuts and they cut your hair in 10 mins. But Erick took his time, and ensured that I was happy with each step. I am really glad I found this shop.

New comers are not welcome. Have had three haircuts from here. First one was great. Second one the guy cut the back of my head and I didn’t see until I got home. Third time. Made an appointment but was waiting for 30 min. before I left. Spend your money somewhere else.

If you're the person looking for a new place to cut your hair and think, "oh hey look, it looks pretty decent Inside, they must be good!"... trust me don't go. Same thing happened to me. The reviews are from people who get regular hair cuts. But they don't do tapers, fades, or any of that good.
