The drinks are reallllly small. And weak! And lukewarm! I am glad I only paid happy hour price for one. Atmosphere is kind of neat, all the staff were nice.

Sneaks 20% gratuity onto every bill and then asks for additional tip on the receipt. I couldn’t tell until it was too late. Won’t be returning here! Edited: Reached out and they provided a refund of the additional tip.

Owner's response

Hi Valter
So sorry for your less than stellar experience.
We do add a 20% gratuity to checks over $150 or parties of 6+.
We also list this on our menus.
If this wasn’t the case for your bill, or if you’d just like the gratuity refunded, I can do that for you.
You can email us at
LA@blindbarber.com and l'll take care of that.

I've been to several clubs and the security is a HUGE jerk! Having gone to the clubs at WeHo, the security on 12/7 was a total Karen. He asked us to move from the couch after moving there after his request & was a total control freak. He has a weird hour glass on his face too. Major turn off having glasses dexter monitor the club. Bye! Not coming back.

Didn't go to the barber shop but the speakeasy behind it. Got here around 8ish and there were seats at the bar and a few tables with seats. Happy to take a seat at the bar and enjoy a couple of tasty cocktails. I'm obsessed with N. Figueroa!! My friend and I enjoyed the DJ spinning as we chatted. Around 10-10:30 the bar flips, seats and tables disappear for added space to make way for the additional people coming in just as things get lively-er...lol. The DJ spins kick into high gear, volume kicks up and it is time to move your body. Mad props to management as my friend & I were just chatting away and oblivious to the fact that all chairs around us had been removed from the bar. They let us keep our seats as we continued drinking. They didn't rush us one bit. But believe me as soon as we paid our tab and stood up, seats were gone. 😂 not mad at it! They were sonoatient since we hadn't even notice. Myb 45mins and they never rushed us. Will definitely be coming back here for more drinks and next time a little dancing. And now the one nagging thing....the bathroom situation. A single for the ladies and stall & urinal for the guys. For the amount of people and drinks being served that is truly a problem. No surprise long line for the ladies. Myb there is a way to rethink that and make both bathrooms unisex? IDK just something to keep the line in check since it spills onto the dance floor.

This establishment kicked me and my cousin out because I apparently had my head down too long. My cousin and I were having a deep conversation, and put my head down to compose myself, and within seconds was kicked out without explanation. The person in front was extremely rude and made us wait 10-15 minutes to return my card. Upon checking my account I realized that they charged my card an additional $100 on top of my tab, which had been already paid.

It was my first time coming over to the Karaoke Wednesdays at Blind Barber . 💈 This place is a speakeasy bar behind a Real Barber shop that is open in morning and afternoon hours . It was so pretty . The place welcomes you with a fish tank so beautiful . There was many empty tables, seats , and booth chairs by the bar . This place was amazing. I had so much fun. It was my first time going my friends live in Highland Park and I used to venture in Highland Park when I was younger, but hadn’t been there for a very long time the bartender there was only one at the moment it was last Tuesday for karaoke he was great. He handled things with care. He gave great service always smiled, and I got a whiskey sour and I was like the tastiest thing ever. It was really nice really sweet. It was sour and you could taste the whiskey. The restrooms were super clean. I always love a clean restroom. It means a lot to me and then the hose for the night for the karaoke was a dream. I forget her second name but I know it’s she starts with a K or KC I think it is. I don’t know if they had food, but I didn’t try any food, but the drinks were good. The ambience was good. The people were good and the place is beautiful. You could take so many endless pictures

Real nice space with a clean barber shop and speakeasy bar in the back that host local djs. Definitely recommend this place for all the music lovers. Clean and fun experience and the drinks are tasty!

A nice lounge/bar behind a barber shop with a very chill vibe & solid DJ. It felt like a speakeasy and when you walk in past the barber shop, it feels like a neighborhood bar where everybody just wants to have a good time with drinks. I’d definitely come back here again, but I’m old so it might be a while.

A love a little secret bar! Behind the super cool barber shop (my friend actually gets a great haircut there too!), you enter into darkness and mid-century modern chic. The drinks came in glasses like my grandma had! I am giving 5 stars for the AMAZING grilled Brie cheese sandwich. Wow. I can’t stop thinking about how delicious it was. Drinks were good but beer selection is not. And nothing on tap. I’m not a fan of rap music in a place that looks like a retro living room but I’m picky about music. Def going again for the grilled cheese alone!

I love this place. The ambiance, the cocktails and the secret door are amazing. I visited on a Wednesday and the crowd was a nice, eclectic mix of people. The bartenders are a little slow, so when it gets busy, be prepared to wait. Tip: it is a couple doors down from Afters Ice Cream.
