Carlos is the best! Kind, funny, and knows how to give a top notch side fade. He has cut my partner's hair for about a year and is super responsive whenever she texts for his availability. Normally she can get a same day or next day appointment easily and they have a great relationship. My partner has had an undercut for a couple years now with some length on top and faded sides, and we both agree that Carlos gives her some of the best haircuts (particularly the sides) that she has gotten and she prob has seen about ten other barbers in those years. Def. highly recommend Carlos. If you have short hair, regardless of your gender or identity, Carlos will hook you up with a great cut. And the price is right. Just bring cash. Support your local small business owner!

Carlos is patient, attentive, and kind. As a woman who goes into a male-dominated barber shop environment, he always makes me feel welcome and makes sure that I leave his chair happy with my haircut. He’s also very kind and teaches me things in Spanish. I consider myself very lucky to have found this gem of a barber shop in Palms!

I’ve got a rule: when you find a barber who gets your hair and your jokes, you don’t let go. Carlos at Bendicion is that guy. He’s not just good with clippers—he’s surgical. I walk in looking like I’ve been through a wind tunnel, and walk out looking like I have weekend plans (even when I don’t). He remembers how I like my fade, asks the right questions, and somehow reads my mind when I can’t explain what I want. The shop’s got that no-nonsense, neighborhood vibe. Cash only. Sports on TV. Friendly ribbing. Just the right mix of chill and sharp. Pro tip: book ahead, bring cash, and be ready for compliments after. Carlos keeps me looking like I’ve got my life together—even when I don’t.

If you’re not fluent in Spanish don’t bother. My hairdresser needed someone else to translate between us and that made communication, let alone having a recurring relationship with her, impossible. I have lived in West LA all my life getting haircuts from mostly women and men from overseas, speaking English as a second language and it’s never been that bad.

I walked in during a weekday morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming.Edgar is the real deal! He took his time, asked questions to make sure he got it just right and it’s one of the best haircuts I’ve had in a while! It’s more affordable than most places $45 for haircut and beard trim.

I came here twice; the first time I got a cut here, I got it from Edgar. He takes his time, and did a fantastic job. Went back again recently and Edgar wasn’t there, so I got a cut from the other barber. This guy rushed my cut and gave me an uneven fade (not a taper, like I asked). Even during the cut, it feels like he’s just winging it. He also messed up the right side of my hairline during a line up. He did not accept responsibility for the error, and blamed it on my hairline when Edgar did a great job previously. Prices also went up to $30 a cut the day I went, adding insult to injury. If you have to come here, please do yourself a favor and ask for Edgar to give you a cut. He actually has bars and will take his time to make sure the details are correct.

Location is a hole in the wall ,surrounded by traffic, no parking to speak of. Consist of only two barbers ,three chairs to sit on to wait. I don't recommend coming here as a walk-in you're looking about over an hour in waiting for a($25) 10-minute haircut. This location is really good only for locals who are walking distance and have appointments. Good barbers are dime a dozen in LA with better locations for the same price.

Carlos is the best. Best barber at fair prices. He can get busy as the day wears on so call ahead and schedule a time to make sure you get a spot. If you've got the time, ask for a shave too. You won't be disappointed.
