Got a haircut a few days ago and the barber who helped me was very professional and helpful. He was very thorough and recommended product for my hair. If you ever come here and need a barber request Gabriel! My experience was definitely a good one and I would highly recommend anyone to come here 👏

I drive almost 70 miles to come to this barber shop and today was very disappointing. I usually don’t make an appointment due to me being on the road and not living in this area. Today I came to get a haircut and beard trim, but the barber told me sorry , my appointment is here, basically telling me I don’t have time for you he’s more important Tell your barbers that’s not ok .

Brought my nephew to get a haircut with barber Jesse, I am happy how it came out . Thank you for your patience and professionalism. The place was very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Jesse and to make an appointment so you don’t have to wait.

Stopped in today, no appointment needed. Cecelia was great to chat with while I got a cut. She gave me a great haircut and very quick! Looking forward to going back every month. 10/10

I am a frequent client of American Barber, but after today, I won’t be coming back. I booked my appointment online like I usually do and showed up to the barbershop a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time due to limited parking on Sepulveda. When I walked in, Eli Mendoza (who I sometimes go to) saw me come in and continued to sweep up hair and not acknowledge the fact that I was in. Out of consideration I just waited for him to be done. After about 5 min I asked another employee if I was going to be taken anytime soon. Eli came up to me and said he had cancelled my appointment. I asked if he could squeeze me in for the time being because typically my hair appointment doesn’t take the full 30 min that is allotted. He said it was too late and would not take me. I walked out with no haircut, and checked my bank statement to see he charged my card $50. I then went back to the website. Read the terms of agreement for the cancellation policy and no where listed was being charged for showing up a few minutes late. It said, that if you were a “no call no show” you were subject to charge. However, I clearly showed up to my appointment. This whole experience was inconvenient, and honestly walked away feeling robbed of my money and time. Not to mention, I make quite a drive to come here to get my hair cut. I expected better customer service and shocked this is how they handled my situation. Quite a shame to see this is who is managing the shop.

It's just not fair to review the whole place when some of them were great barbers but one guy ruined it all, three times. his name is "Dany Bear" I believe I just can't book to choose barber online for some debit card reason so I have to walk in randomly picked up by one of them.. So unluckily i got picked up by Dany, perhaps he's never booked online for this bad service, but he gives a horrible extremely fast service no attention paid to major details and my head gets super itchy and a lot of scratches from his tools, then no after care whatsoever like other barbers did like a hot towel or simply after shave powder/gel. the haircut itself was very ugly buzzed it way too short and weird shaped head like he had a personal problem with me.. I had a really tough month looking at myself in the mirror everyday just because a bad barber had an attitude with me for whatever personal reasons he had. Never again.

Excellent barber. They were very accommodating and took us in right away on a busy Sunday afternoon. Our stylist (or barber?) was amazing, he chit chatted with my teen the whole time and made him feel comfortable and happy. Loved the results. My son came out dapper. Will stop by again when in area.

I couldn’t be more please with this barbershop! Everyone is so professional and nice. I've booked online and walked-in, it’s always easy. Davey is always willing to make room and go the extra mile for his clients.

Great hair cut, good guys! Go see Johnathan, he cut my hair with only scissors ✂️ and it was perfect 👌
