This place used to be a busy barber shop, the price for hair cut was reasonable, but lately price have gone to high and there hair cuts are not all that anymore since they last good barbers...

Do not waste your time at this place!!!!!! They barbers are outdated so if you’re looking for a more modern cute don’t go here. No to mention they take forever to get someone’s hair and not because they do a good job , they literally talk and talk and don’t value peoples time. They prices are okay but I wished they would do their job and go one to the next person, I was waiting for a guy to be done and he just kept talking to the customer. Definitely never come back again

If you ask what you want, they will deliver exactly to the way you want it. I have an issue with most barbers where they will do extra unnecessary work and ruin the intended cut. They do CASH ONLY, so be prepared before attending.

STAY AWAY from this barber!!! I didn't believe the 1-star reviews until I came today as a new customer. They may be good to you once or a few times, but your best finding a different spot and avoiding a bad experience like I had today. I got a dark heavyset barber with black glasses on who thought his phone calls were more important that my haircut. After I politely told him that I was in a hurry and if he could finish my hair, he proceeded to hang up and cut my hair, ONLY to tell me 2 minute into it that he had to call the guy back because he needed to give him some information. I got upset and asked him "Am I on your time or mine?" because apparently he didn't care that that I told him I was in a hurry. He didn't answer my question, but instead decided to threaten me by saying "Sir if you don't calm down, then I won't cut your hair and I will take my phone call". So am I in the wrong for saying something? I watched a ~5 minute scene on the TV, and once it went to commercials he was STILL on the phone. I initially thought his phone call was interrupting my haircut, but apparently my haircut was interrupting his phone call. I want to emphasize that he wasn't on his break, he never apologized for taking his call and being on the phone, and NEVER have I had a barber in all my years take that long on a personal phone call, only threaten to not cut my hair INSTEAD of at the very least apologizing to make the situation better. I left to another barber close by so that he could take his personal call, because apparently they were paying him + tip to cut my hair, not me. I wasn't going to waste my time risking him to freely take another personal call; I'm paying another barbershop my money who is respectful of their customer's time, and I will be telling everyone around me for the rest of my life, including friends and family, to stay away from this place and to instead go to one of the 6 other barbershops in Downey that I have had better experiences with AND that know appropriate customer service instead of threatening their customers. I hope that barber reads my review: If it's a customer or a personal call that needs to be taken for a couple minutes, then fine, excuse yourself and tell them you'll call back because your working on a customer. However, he doesn't deserve any of my money or a tip, and to threaten me instead of making it right shows just how much they care about their customers let alone their overall satisfaction, regardless of the fact that you are a first time or regular

Been coming here for a years ago. Clean and good atmosphere place to get a cutz. Prices reasonable and friendly environment.

I am a regular, I love this place because of the barbers and professionally the atmosphere is. The price is fair. I recommend to call in, it gets crowded

Every barber in here is talented! Sign your name in the back counter before you take a seat. Wait time can run up to an hour in busy times but a good hair cut is always worth it. All barbers are friendly. You’ll be back for sure

Been cutting my hair for the last 4yrs. Very friendly environment, fast barbers cutters with good talents. I recommend to stop by and check it out.

Very respectful service (being on a Sunday afternoon 12pm). An just keep in mind to ask where do you sign in. Be patient cause there are only 3 barbers on duty. I highly recommend "Rocio" to cut your hair 👍(8yrs exp). I left very pleased with my haircut and trimmed beard. Definitely coming back. 😉😆

Great barbers giving awesome fades and kid haircuts. Family friendly. Always busy (a good thing) get there early and be patient. They have two tv's (usually have sports channel on), snacks, and vending machine.
