I've been getting my haircut at Sam's for over 2 years now by Paul Sanchez. He always does a great job and is a dope person to talk with as he cuts your hair. The shop has a cool vibe as well.

Candy went above and beyond to make sure I walked out of the shop extremely satisfied. I will be coming back she has gained a forever client. Thank you Candy I truly appreciate it your attention to detail.

About a little over a week ago, I came into this place to get a hair cut for the first time with a young gentleman. I belive he's the last booth to the wall. He asked me what I was getting and as I told him, he just started cutting. Didn't ask me for any special details on how I like my cut. He just got straight to it and starting a conversation. As I was a little distracted, I noticed he was just treating me like a regular customer. As if I've been there before and him just assuming what I want. He was talking about how some barbers just do what they want and don't let the customers pick out what they want. Unfortunately, it turns out he was just talking about himself. He was giving me a lot of good advice on how to comb my hair and whatnot. 20 minutes pass by, and he was done. When I started checking the mirrors to look at my cut, I noticed so many red flags. No blend, uneven cuts. My hair LITERALLY looked chopped up. As if it was done by a 10 year old. I was utterly disappointed. He was so proud of it though. Never in my life have I left a barbershop so mad, I was not happy about paying. Not one bit. He said I didn't have to pay if I wasn't happy. I sincerely wasn't. I didn't pay. I left embarrassed. I had 2 events that day for my vending. I wore a hat the whole day. On a day I got a haircut. That says a lot. A week passes, I'm noticing I have longer hair on parts, uneven hairs popping out from shorter cuts, I'm honestly upset I went there. I've never scored this low for a barber. The worst rating has probably been 4 stars. I give this one just one star because that's the lowest. I'm still upset. Best advice I can give is; unless you don't care about the haircut and you just want something that looks kinda maintenanced, this is okay. Not the best. Don't get me wrong, sounds like he knew what he was talking about but unfortunately, it didn't show in his work. He told me he's the one that taught the barbers across the street how to cut. Therefor, I'm never going to those barbershops. It was a terrible experience.

One of the many small pleasures in life is finding someone who can make your beard look good at a great price. Hands down Andrew offers the best beard trim for only $15. See this man, he'll take care of you.

Great old fashion barber shop. You can't go wrong and the clients, near and far, all appreciate this gem in Alhambra. I'm sad to report that Sam Artino passed away on 9/19/23. He was a good man. Sam's still has the same great barbers plus new new operator Paulie. Still great cuts and service. I switched to Al Garcia (chair next to Sam's). Al does a great job. Highly recommended.

This is Absolutely the Best Barbershop in the LA County. I started going to them last year. Daniel has been cutting my hair. He is terrific. You need to make an appointment, they are quite busy. I am often asked who cuts My hair. I am pleased to tell them Sam's Barbershop. Alhambra.
