If you are a man who doesn't want somebody screwing up your hair, this is the place for you. I trust this place more than any other. They give good haircuts that have you feeling great and looking great. They have tons of experience and have employees that have been there for a long time. So you dont have to come to a place worrying about who might be cutting your hair. You will find the right barber here at The New York Barber Shop. You can take a chance and do a walk-in, or call in advance. They also supply lollipops for the kiddos.

Sad to say, we will never return here again. This is the third disappointing experience we’ve had, and it was the last straw. My 14-year-old son had been growing his hair out for over a year after a previous bad haircut here. Despite that, he’s incredibly loyal and decided to give them another chance, hoping for a fresh start with a new style. Before sitting in the chair, he showed the barber (3rd chair) pictures of the haircut he wanted and even asked if the style would suit his face. The barber assured him it would, and I emphasized how important it was to get it right since my son had been hesitant to cut his hair for so long. The barber confidently said it was doable, so we trusted him. But as he started cutting, I noticed it wasn’t looking like the photo at all. When I pointed this out, the barber brushed it off, saying, “His hair is too heavy—I can’t get that look.” What?! That should have been said before the cut even started. Instead, my son now has a haircut he didn’t want and didn’t agree to. To make matters worse, other staff tried to step in but offered little more than, "add some texturized" or “It will grow out.” My son is mortified, and his confidence has been shattered. We’re deeply disappointed, and after this experience, we’ll never be back.

I have gone to this barber shop since it opened in the 80's. My regular barber is no longer there. Woman cut my hair, supposed to be a crew cut and she absolutely scalped me. Then left the top 4 times longer than the rest. Absolutely done with this place after 30 plus years!

Great place for a haircut and beard trim. I’ve never had to wait too long. Sam has always been very thorough , never rushing my haircut and does a great job. This establishment only takes cash so stop to your local bank before arriving.

This barbershop has excellent barbers; they are good at their craft and take their time cutting your hair. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere with significant cuts for everyone no matter the age. Edit: They still have the same great quality work six years later in 2024

Omg! Totally ruined my sons hair! Didnt listen to a word. He asked him to taper and leave the length. He straight faded and cut it all. My son's in junior high, he's literally crying and wont go to school today now

I have been going to this barbershop for almost a year and never left the place feeling the same way after getting my haircut. Everyone is extremely nice; they are very detailed and professional. I had Bella do my haircut a few times and I got no complaints. Since I started working from home I didn’t feel like I needed a haircut; 5 months later I come back and Jerex did an extraordinary job in less time that I was expecting. They take appointments and walk-ins. If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would give them a 10+. Thank you guys so much! The best barbershop I have ever been at and the best people I could ever met.
