The barber did not have clean clippers and left bumps in my son’s heads. They both had a bad breakout from dirty clippers. They really need to use the proper sanitation for their clippers. I will not be returning

1000/1000 Great service and the barber Ricardo really took his time to make sure my son looked amazing. A very clean cut my son looks like he stepped out of a haircut magazine. Very pleased.

I dont ever post reviews but i gotta say these guys know what they doing!! Highly recommend if you want a fresh cut my barber was JUAN and he did a fantastic job definitely recommend checking him and the rest of the barber crew out will be looking forward to my next cut 💪🏻💯💯

I normally would not write a review but in this case, it is very necessary. I do not the know if the barber Wayne was having a bad morning or what. I personally at 64 years old have never felt more disrespected than with this young man. I believe this is the result of upbringing and I have and always will try and pour knowledge into young African Men, as I am now an elder. During my youth I surrounded myself with experienced men that were intelligent, hopeful for the next generation, spiritual and above all respectful. Once I got in the chair asked I if he was doing ok because he appeared to be a bit off emotionally. The issue started on politics and the young man was unsure of if he would vote, which was my first sign he was clueless, our people have fought and died for that right. The young man really believed he knew what he was talking about, too funny. It was very apparent the young guy is lost and does not have the room for anyone to pour information and knowledge into him, so sad. As the conversation continued, I requested we stop the conversation, it was like he read the headline but did not understand the problem or he heard it while watching cartoons. The result, not even midway I got up took off the cover and left. I then began to receive very ignorant text messages, which again too funny. So, never again will a go back, for this and several other reasons and recommend going to a barbershop with a more professional staff. Lack of professionalism and respect for customer

This place is my go to because it’s chill and they give you excellent service of comfort. When you visit it may be a wait yet the wait is worth it… you coming out happy looking like a new person… never disappoint me yet!! They get your style you want JUST the way you describe… my go to every time is Wayne!!! Love my barber… thank you for such great service..

I was thoroughly impressed with this barbershop. The atmosphere here is amazing. Makes it feel like you have stepped into a barbershop within the projects of Chicago with that earthy neighborhood feel with pop/soul music playing at just the right level. Although it has established itself as an African American cultured shop I felt at home. Everybody working here has that brotherhood amongst themselves and no bickering amongst them. Would I go again... for life! Awesome establishment and a special shout out to Trez my barber, awesome man with a feel for his gift in hair cutting. Not all barbers have reached his level, hopefully they inspire to.
