I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now and it’s always been a solid experience. I’ve had cuts from a few different barbers here and they’ve all done a great job. Taylor is my usual go-to, but when Taylor’s waitlist gets long, Laine and Terry always come through with the same good energy, good conversation, and quality trims. I’ve been working out of town for a while and stopped back in recently. I was a little surprised to see they have a sign-in sheet now, but the shop still has the same good atmosphere and quality service I’ve come to expect over the years. Definitely a place I keep coming back to.

First time here. Lainee was very efficient and did exactly what I asked. Definitely going back. And you cannot beat the prices so make sure you TIP !!!

Things were better when Ashley worked here. There is no sense of urgency when it comes to people waiting and waiting for a haircut. No one said hello when we walked in. They have 10 barber chairs and 3 people working. What is the point of having a list if you don’t go by it or communicate with clients who’s next? Completely unprofessional and unorganized. Do better

Under normal, low stress conditions, this is a lovely traditional style barbershop with a decent atmosphere. Unfortunately that's the best thing I can say about this shop. If you're looking for a laid back, friendly haircut in classic traditional styles on a slow day, this is the place for you. Once they get busy, or as soon as something goes wrong, the atmosphere falls apart and you're left with a small shop trying to compete with Great Clip turn-over times. The biggest criticism I have is for the management, who have a tendency to externalize issues, blaming customers instead of trying to see the situation from their perspective. If you're looking for an old school haircut in an old school barbershop, swing by on a slow day. You'll probably get the traditional chatty barbershop experience. If you're looking for anything other than the experience, or if they're already busy, maybe think about going elsewhere.

I recently searched for a place to get haircuts for my boys in preparation for the new school year and came across this barber shop. After passing by it frequently, I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. I called ahead to confirm their Saturday hours since Google listed them as closing at 2 PM, while the Nextdoor app said 4 PM. They indeed close at 2 PM on Saturdays. We arrived around 12:50 PM and finished by about 3:12 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The wait was worth it. My oldest son is thrilled with his fade haircut, and my youngest is happy with his trim. Both boys look very handsome. The older man did an excellent job with the fade, and the lady did a fantastic job with the trim. They truly did amazing work. I highly recommend this barber shop. It’s a friendly, welcoming, veteran family-owned establishment with reasonable prices—$18 for each haircut. I also loved their decorations and the overall great atmosphere. It’s a very, very great place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much.😊💇💇‍♂️💈

I took my grandson here for a haircut. I've been trying for months! Finally talked him into a barber shop because that's where men go. After googling barber shops in AJ we saw this one in a plaza he is familiar with. He is autistic so finding some place familiar is important. After we got there I found out it's cash only so we left to get money. We passed by a couple other barber shops on the way to the bank. I asked him if he wanted to try one of them and he said no he liked the other one. I wish I had got the name of the man who cut his hair but I was too busy chatting with one of the locals that hangs out there. The hair cut went smooth! My grandson was so comfortable with that gentleman and 3 hours later is so talking about how much he likes his hair cut! I look forward to taking him again in the future! I also love the fact that it's a family owned location that's gone thru several generations!

where do I begin I've been going to different barber shops since I've moved to Arizona and I've never been satisfied. I asked this gentleman where he got his haircut and he recommended me to AJ's barber shop in Apache Junction he said I wouldn't regret it. I have to say I am absolutely pleased with my haircut and beard trim. After having the same Barber for 28 years in Los Angeles I think I'm finally able to replace him with Jim or anyone else at AJ's Barber Shop they are very professional made me feel very welcome from the moment I walked in. I highly recommended the price is unbelievable fast good service...

Great place for a haircut! I was riding by on my ATV, saw the barber shop sign and I needed a haircut anyways. Turned around and bam walked in and they were helpful right off the bat. Got a high and tight haircut, and and even a straight razor cut in the back! I totally will be coming back, if you ever want a straight razor shave they do that too!!
